Wanted USA WII (with gamecube ports) console only

Im looking to see how much a Wii console only would set me back. I want it for mostly to play NTSC GameCube games on. Ideally it would also not have the last update to the system.

As far as I know, there's a mod for every update to the Wii.

Id like one with the option to mod. I modded A PAL one (very simply, nothing tricky) and was not impressed with the NTSC compatibility. I also was not aware of a mod for every update.

I can probably get a bare console for $50-60, and ship it in a padded flat rate envelope if you wanted to try that out.
