WTB/WTTF Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes

Somehow through all my years of gaming I wasn't aware of this repro until just a few days ago, and seeing as Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time I would be very interested in acquiring a cart of this repro.

Anyone know of someone who may be selling or trading one?  CiB would be awesome but I would even be ok with just a great condition cart only just because I want to play it on console.

  • First of all, half of this post goes in the price check thread.

Second of all, just look at completed listings on eBay.

To answer your question. I don't see any loose carts, but a CIB one was sold on Apr 3 for $300.
  • First of all I'm looking to buy one so if anyone has a copy and are interested in selling they could quote me a price so it will be just fine here.

Second of all I did and that CiB was the only one I saw as well so possibly someone has a Cart for sale/trade.

  • Okay then. I'm sorry for trying to help.
  • chrono trigger fan made game? what is this you speak of?
  • Not sure when this site ran out, but you can try contacting them. The guy there is also a member here that did a sweet limited run of this game.

  • Player2 - Haha all good man and I appreciate it you just kinda came off as kinda condescending with the first of all second of all part ;p

Kuro - google "Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes" looks awesome.

theguy - yeah I shot him a PM on here no response yet but I've heard from a few other users that he hasn't made any in awhile because that one is a pain to make or somethin unfortunately and on the site its out of stock ; \
  • It's all good. I wasn't, but you're right I just read what I wrote.

And yes. The game had a limited run, but Square shut it down, for the most part.
  • Player2 - yeah I was just reading about all of that today actually pretty lame the way square the handled that whole thing.
  • I hate when Developers do that crap man. If there is a cult following for their title, then they should encourage homebrew spin offs. Especially when they are no longer making games under that title.
  • They just want to make sure they maximize their profits as they re-release it for every new system from here to eternity.
  • Player2 - yeah Earthbound is another one that has a very good following, but Nintendo didn't seem to have any issues on that front.

    Django - haha true that.
  • Play the rom before you buy it and regret it like half of the CT "fans" do.

Agreed, I've heard that Crimson Echos isn't even a fully completed hack
  • Hrm I may ended up doing that just to play it if I can't find a copy but really I would want to own the cart anyway just because its Chrono Trigger related.
  • PM sent

  • Try Ocdgamer ,he's a member here .He run's Ocd Reproductions ,I think he makes this particular Chrono Trigger hack .I've bought from him before,he does pretty good work.
  • Kody states on his website that he won't make this game anymore. As for the completeness translation, when he did the limited run he said there was only a few lines untranslated that ended up being explained again later on in the game, or something like that.
  • Thanks guys!
  • Yeah Kody said he no longer makes Chrono Trigger :Crimson Echoes or Tales of Phantasia .He said that he can't get them to work right.I'm sure glad I bought my Tales of Phantasia before he decided to discontinued it!On another note member you should try Radical Dreamers the official Chrono Trigger sequel ,which Kody still makes.
  • I have #2 of 25 of the limited edition runs of this game Complete in Box, not sure I want to sell it though but might listen to a reasonable offer
