Help identifying the game im selling.

Hey im currently selling the teris proto on ebay, i finally got it to work today and it turns out to be not a tetris game, but a proto for a game like dr mario where you stack the pills called Virus. Has anyone heard of this game. What gives, why was my proto labeled tetris and has this in it?

Could you snap a pic of the title screen or gameplay? Do the chips have a date on them? This is very interesting, I'm curious as to what you have.

i would say if its a legit dr. mario proto that varies from the original!!

Well, its a first party proto of a popular game with what appears to be at least a few major differences (assuming as stated before this isn't just a port of the fami version). You may have been able to squeeze a bit more, but I think both you and the buyer got a solid deal.

Whether it's a proto of Dr Mario or Tetris I'd say both are worth about the same, they're both pretty legendary games. The differences are cool but like I said, I wonder what the fami version is like.

Hot shags, yep the few pics of box art I saw around for Fami stuff had the familiar magnifying glass on the three viruses, not a dog and a nurse

I had no screenshots though...

I wonder if this is an early Famicom version they translated, or a title, graphical alteration they experimented with later on prior to US NTSC / PAL releases?

If you look closely at the label in the pics, it looks like there's some sticker residue on the label...like Nintendo cheaped out and reused an old Tetris dev copy and did Virus on it, and at some point they decided to add Mario to the mix to move a few more copies.
