I'm not sure if this has been brought up in one of the VGA threads, but the sliding cases are now hitting ebay.. they look pretty damn cool, but for $25?..

  • they are $15?
  • I think he meant $25 shipped.
  • Awesome. That means there will be fake graded games for sale in no time.
  • I suppose $25 might be worth it if you had a really nice sealed game, but this won't appeal to most people. If I'm not mistaken, even most sealed games aren't worth much more than $100?
  • well its $15 per + 10 to ship. I'm sure if you buy 10 cases the bill is more like 160 then 250.

  • The case styles aren't even the same so I don't think there is any worry of fake graded stuff.    Give them a little more credit than that.    I don't think they would have lasted 10 years in action figures if they were that dumb.
  • Ahhh. Gotcha Bronty I was saying $25 shipped (shipping is a little high at this quantity), but the discount for

multiple cases is indeed pretty good.
  • 10 would cost $187

Most sealed games aren't worth more than $20.00.
  • There might be 10 games in my collection that these would be worth it for, maybe...and I have some pretty crazy stuff.

...Or sell it for 300x the amount its worth.
  • I think I'd be willing to shell out for a handful of these to protect games that required a high dollar investment. If I stepped on my F2 box, I'd be pretty pissed at myself.
  • Good call Aaron.I will probably end up shelling out for 5 of the GB ones and 3 of the SNES ones.
  • I'm trying to figure out, why the hell would your valuable games be laying around on the floor where you walk?
  • ^^^ Pets man, pets. I keep all of my nice stuff on a high shelf, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Cats are crafty little fuckers when it comes to making a mess of your nice stuff. Ask Seth about his Hot Slots box.
  • Simple.....You have WAY too many games.Have you ever seen Braveheart's floor in his pics?
  • I keep most of my games that top that $500 mark in a few safes!

even with the fact that my cat chewed on that box, i STILL wouldnt invest in a hard protector for that price!

i actually would invest in 2 of them for the 2 cib games i do NOT have in my collection, but i dont really have anything that i care about enough to spend the extra money! if if if if if anything happens to any of my rare shit, then so be it. cat chews a hot slots box... fuck it! cat chews on my SE manual... fuck it! whatever! (note: my cat did not chew on my SE manual)
  • You'll be singing a differnt tune when you come home and find your SE manual ripped to shred's!!
  • that is in a protector... it is a picture protector. it is essentially a baseball card protector but larger. i KNOW his teeth could get through that though, but i am pretty sure he couldnt tear it up much! haha. i dont mind some teeth holes! image
  • Wow, those are good looking cases. I'd definitely be interested in loading up on quite a few of those if they weren't so ridiculously expensive.

LOLOLOLOL Thank you sir, I seriously almost flopped out of my chair laughing. "This is VGA, what are your games wearing right now (deep sexy voice)"

  • Sweet, time for me to jack up the prices on my protectors.

Actually, those look pretty nice. I can see people buying 1-5 of them for their very very high end items, just not worth it to protect your everyday $15.00 game. A CIB stadium events is worth what...$10,000? An F2 is worth $800?.....$25 is probably worth it for those titles.
  • I am getting one for my cib Silent Service for sure,I would HATE for anything to happen to that gem.
  • Yeah, $25 is outrageous in my opinion. I suppose if the demand is high enough people might buy them, but I won't be doing so for that price range. I don't own anything rare enough to justify that kind of expenditure.
  • I want a acrylic box for my M82 image
