some light sunday finds that no one seems to think are cool except me, haha

Had a slow but good morning at the flea market and yard sales.  The No More Heroes was only $1 sealed.  I got the other 6 Wii games for $10 total, and Bakugan is sealed as well.  My favorite find was the Gyromite with famicom adapter for $5 because I guessed by the weight that it was in there, and I was actually right!  Also picked up a Genesis 2 system & controllers with Shinobi but no power cord for $5.  Total spent on gaming stuff=$21

Edit: Just realized one of the Genesis controllers is an OEM 6-button, if anyone cares

Beware the 3-in-1 cords at all costs. They only last about 2-4 months for me, when using the NES/Genesis plug. All 4 that I've tested always had faulty SNES plugs from the get-go. Just a little 'buyers beware'...
  • Thanks for the heads up. I haven't seen that problem before, but I definitely believe it. However, I only need one for the purpose of reselling the system as a whole, so a working one should still do the job for now, even though a first party is obviously preferred.
  • I see nothing special about a sealed No More Heroes, they were in the discount bin at walmart for $9.99 and the game is everywhere

Ah, I didn't know.  When I checked Sunday, they were around $50 on eBay and a little less on Amazon, but certainly no $9.99

With Wii games (as well as other current gen games) you really can't set an accurate price on random games. There are so many new copies still out there for every game and most retail stores probably still have them and if people don't want them they lower the price obviously. The very big majority of people buy Wii games to play and not to collect and if they don't want to play a game they won't pay 10$ either.

I sold No More Heroes for $35 very quickly.  I'm looking around for these $9.99 ones and haven't found them yet.  If they are still out there, there is money to be made on them

I just took a look on ebay and it seems that not as many people are selling #1 sealed, and it goes from $20-45. My local walmart always has the most random popular stuff in the bin though, it has Disgaea DS, spectrobes wii, Uncharted bundle, Jak colection, shovelware etc...

The $20 one seems to be some kind of mistake in the system...when I try to click on it, it takes me to No More Heroes 2...or it might be a different listing that you're seeing in Canada.  Anyway, I will check out the bargain bin, thanks
