Star ocean questions

Just got star ocean in the mail, for some reason the game either doesn't get past the Enix screen or if it does it freezes at the title screen. I have a mini SNES could that be a problem? Any and ALL HELP would be appreciated. All my other SNES games work including other reproductions.

    My copy of Star Ocean works just fine on my SNES jr... Have you tried cleaning its contacts?

    I've had this happen on two copies of Star Ocean that I ordered from a guy in Portugal. I never could figure out why.... he sent me a video of them working on his console so I don't know if it had something to do with the regions or what. I tried three different consoles, two were the original release consoles and one was the mini. Nothing would change it though and I had to return them. Took me four copies of Star Ocean to finally get a good one.... thanks DoctorDan!

    Would some users be willing to pm me so I can show pictures of the inside wiring? I got the game from a fellow NA member and he said it worked on his system. I'm confused as all my other games Including repros work on my MINI SNES.



    I cleaned the pins of the system with not luck.

    Are you asking if someone here is willing to open up their copy to show you the wiring in their cart?As I asked before who made your copy ,I'm just curious because this particular repro is not easy to make .So there's a lot of copies of this game that have problems booting up.Although I never had a problem with my copy of SO ,I did have this same problem with my Tales of Phantasia.
