Test Station Variations

I was cruisin' the bay because I am getting a couple of test carts pretty quick and I was looking to expand. I found these test stations and I had never seen these types before. I just though they were cool and someone might be interested. Are these rarer than the standard ones I see with the monitor?

    I have both of those image (I have actually had several of all the test stations over the years) I think Limbofunk may be the only person who has had more of them than I have. All the test stuff is pretty hard to find, and very cool to boot. If you are a reseller, you are nuts to not have one, save you a TON of time testing hardware.

    These don't show up as often as the Test Stations with TV attached, but usually sell for less.

    I had a feeling I would hear from you image They are pretty cool. I take it that these must be later NES Test Station releases being they look similar to the SNES. So what would you say is an average price for these?

    Yeah, they're just a new version of the old test station...I can't remember the date they came out, but any service center that joined after a certain date or bought a counter tester after that time would get these instead of the old test station.  The NES one sold for a little under what it usually sells for and the SNES sold for $100-$150 more than I've seen it tend to sell for in the past, but there's only been around ten auctions of each up on ebay in the past 2+ years (some being listed more than once) so you might as well get them when you can...I've only gotten one of each and my NES one is actually damaged (the AV hookups do not work properly) and there is a button missing (How the hell am I supposed to replace that?!  image  )
