Funny Flea Market Story

I was at my local flea market early today, and since I'm in Massachusetts you almost never see anything below retail. I saw a guy with a boxed Metal Storm and asked him where he got it and he directed me to a guy with a whole box of boxed NES titles. He must have picked them up from some liquidated rental store because all of the cartridges were in special rental cases, but the boxes were there too. Two titles that stood out to me were Mega Man 2 and 3, games that I had been looking for. I asked him how much he wanted for 2, and as I feared he pulled out his phone to check the price. I practically quit then because I figured he'd give me a high eBay price or even sealed Amazon price. But to my surprise, he gave me a price of $20. He must have seen the price for cart only! I ended up getting both 2 and 3 for just $35, which is the best deal I've ever gotten around here. It's not the biggest score but it's a good story, I think.

Congrats on the deal bro. Finding CIBs like that in MA is a task within itself. You should post some pics.

I know, I wish I had gotten my hands on that Metal Storm now. I would have invested in more of them, but I didn't have too much cash on hand and NES pricing isn't really my strong suit.

(in addition to my PM) This one isn't the best and you don't often find too many good deals, but it's worth a look if you're in the area one day.

Sure guys, I'll post some pictures later on tomorrow, I'm already in bed now. The Mega Man 2 box has some creasing around the corners but no real crushing, and the Mega Man 3 box is physically better but the color is faded as if left out in the sun too long. The carts themselves have great labels, but there is a small area of discoloration on 3. Both have some rental stickers but they should come off no problem. Unfortunately there were no instructions, but there are some weird inserts, probably nothing worth owning so those would be free if you want.

Raynham is indeed a waste of time. The guy on the inside is over ebay, and the guys on the outside aren't much better (especially the older reseller dude).

Also I would agree: Massachsuetts area is reallllly tough to find the super deals, lots of resellers/hunters in our area really kills the % of finding great stuff out and about.
