Nice SNES Lot of 62 games.

Well I couldn't pass this up today when I saw it posted on CL so many good titles! I did not get it all for a steal but I would say a very fair price. I wanted to keep everything but the wife was a little upset with me so I pulled out 10 games I wanted to keep and the rest are up on the bay right now.

She was ok with it at first and even gave me some cash to go towards getting them but then the mood quickly changed when i got home, whatever!

So here is what I got...

Here is what I'm keeping as long as I make enough money back to keep the wife happy.

  • Dang dude that is a nice lot ... now what's gonna keep me up at night is how much did you spend on it? :-)
  • Amazing collection there, i'm guessing if the wife was mad it cost a few bucks.
  • Very nice, sell me Contra III?
  • Wow you did great.
  • your ebay listing says you dont have a system anymore so they must find a new home?

nice lot, you may want to split it up in smaller lots on ebay. Im sure the lot is worth what its listing for but its going to take alot of work for people to realize that. Divide it up in chunks of popular games and gems. Like dont put all the best ones in the same lot. Mix and match popular and expensive with some less expensive to get rid of them all in smaller lots.
  • Damn, I'm hard pressed to find any snes games around here that isn't a Madden or a NBA.

Yea, I didn't want to say wife is mad at me so now I have to sell my games. I figured it was cool to tell you guys but didn't seem like a good idea to put in a ebay posting.

Someone already found my listing. Starting price is what I paid. Just need that one bid and all will be good again in the world.
  • Updated my listing, I fessed up that the wife is pissed so now not only do you all know who wears the pants but so does all of eBay.
  • Nice lot!

I would've kept the Mega Man Soccer, Super Metroid or Chrono Trigger rather then that Mortal Kombat though...

lol you could always just say " I am selling 52 games" and not have to embarass yourself

  • Sad that she got mad at you. DX

Joe&Mac!! XD I have been looking for that game.

These are all in pretty good shape too.

Man to bad you could not keep them all.

I actually have a couple of the better titles that I left in the lot but I just had to have that MK Ultimate, I was king in that game back in the day and tomorrow I'm gonna beat my sons ass in some SNES like he does to me on the 360.
  • To the peeps that messaged me about trading, I'm sorry I can't. That was the plain in the beginning. Was gonna trade off the doubles I had to get some other games I really wanted but unfortunately I have to get the cash.

But wow guys a lot of messages about this, was not expecting that. If not so many I would have replied to you all through PM. Thanks for all the interest!
  • Good luck I saw what you have there on ebay and I'm truly curious to see if someone will pop for all those titles at that price. I think it's possible given some of the games in there but I am uncertain it's a sure bet.

Yea I agree with you. I know I could get it if I split it all up. But not sure if I can all at once although I think I do have it at a fair price. I used http://videogames.pricecharting.com and added the games up. Turned out to be just over 1000.00 so I figured 750.00 wouldn't be to bad for a bulk deal plus thats what I really need to get. Though I will take close to 100.00 loss after fees if I only get that one bid. But I won't complain considering the games I'm keeping.

  • yea its going to be tough. after a quick add it looks like after fees and shipping selling seperately youd end up with about 820. So if you could get 750 selling as a lot then it would be worth it. And I of course low ball priced it all for the most part and got 1,040 after adding up everything.
  • Can you post a link to the ebay page?
  • i can help "soften the blow" and just buy the metal warrior off of you

top 3 snes games i need

    did score Hagane today tho
  • dam really nice stuff there. i would be sad to sell it lol
  • Well VGPC isn't that good with that, but I mean when people buy bulk they're the leader of the land of cheapskates. You buy bulk, you buy like a couple dollars or so a game in a lot of peoples minds. If you could easily clear the price you set splitting it, then do it. Even the added cost of extra bubble bags would be worth it. A very sad day having her change her mind, but you kept some interesting titles.
  • Sold my games today that I had listed on ebay to a guy local to me, he runs a retro store and I believe he said he is a member here.

I'm sure most of the watchers I had on the listing were from NA wanting to see how it turned out for me. So here what happened.

Got 675.00 for the lot I had listed

so I only ended up paying 75 for the 10 games I kept!

Wife is happy now, and I'm happy too.
  • I wonder what she would think if you tagged along with her to the mall and criticized all of her clothing purchases.
  • The thing with buying any kind of "collectible" is that it ultimately DOES have resale value, it's not a disposable good, like food, or something that immediately plummets after purchase such as clothing. Due to this I can never understand how people call it "wasting" money because if a serious need ever did arise you could potentially just cash out and maybe lose 20%, but for most collectors, one would make money due to getting the games at a good price initially.
