Interested in getting an RGB N64

I have someone willling to sell me an RGB N64, but I'm not positive what I need in order to hook it up to my component tube TV (I live in the US).



What's my simplest/cheapest option for all this?



So far the option I see is:

2. Then the SCART end goes into this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SCART-RGB-to-YUV-Component-Video-Converter-Scaler-/221156873851?pt=US_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item337dfa167b    and the red/white audio goes from the 1. cable to my sound system/TV.



3. Then I run standard Component cables from the converter to my TV.

Another question I have is: What's the best way to view RGB N64 image? Would it look best on a component tube tv or on an HDTV through either component or HDMI? Would progressive scan be possible? Would HDMI be superior to component on the HDTV?

I'm not sure you can get HDMI since the system outputs an analog signal. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I know I am personally opting for component video on my Panasonic Plasma. I managed to actually get a picture today using the BA7230LS encoder since my transistors finally showed up in the mail, but didn't bother hooking up the red/blue channels. I will hopefully finish this up tonight.
