Pretty sure I had more pirates/islanders, but this is what I remember the best.
And
That Islanders set was one of my favorite sets when it came out. I wanted it so bad that I used to have dreams about getting it lol. I got it for my birthday the year it came out and I literally started building it in the car after I got it lol. Still to this day, it is one of my all-time favorite Lego sets.
I have a number of managers and I set a rota for them. In Excel. One month I was bored so after I finished their rota created a massive Mario at about 3000 lines below their rota. If they'd pressed CTRL P it would've printed a billion billion pages.
Built some of my sets I had on backlog and added some more. Built jabbas palace, star destroyer, mos eisley, antivehicle cannon, a droid trifighter, and a snowspeeder
Death Star is on my list, so is the new Sand Crawler but i'm not sure if i'll end up buying them. I've gotten everything I wanted except the B Wing from the summer 2014 line, but there's a few older sets I want to snag before they get retired and quadruple in price.
Anyone else get any cool lego stuff recently or build anything?
The EXO Suit was a fun build with the unique green classic space men.
Much taller than I originally expected.
I think i read on brick set they were bringing the exo suit back in the uk for awhile. I know it was really popular. Its a cool looking set.
I got in as a back-order when it first debuted, but given the popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't a 2nd or 3rd run to fulfill demand and keep the fans happy.
Serious LEGO space fans probably want to buy 4 or 5 of them, since they are cool as hell and it is the only way to get that color of classic space minifig.
Did you get the white promo spaceman last month? They were giving it away with purchases of 99 or more. It came in a nice little box.
No, I only peripherally keep up with set releases, but had been anticipating that particular CUUSOO set for awhile. (my only other recent LEGO purchase was the DeLorean when it was released)

I like to read the Brothers Brick blog, though.
Ill check that out. Only reason i got a promo space minifig was because of the death star. Biggest lego box ive seen

I tend to restrict myself to LEGO sets that will fit on my bookshelf at the office, so the Death Star or the Executor are not in my LEGO-building future.
My brother-in-law on the other hand has a condo with every horizontal surface covered in LEGO models.
I don't think he has the Death Star, but he definitely have every other major Star Wars set.
2 manuals/ box / 3 figs/ and a mix batch of old Legos. Looks like they had 3 sets and lost pieces, jammed the rest in the box hehe
Rad!
Can't find games in the wild any more but at least there are still Legos! Picked up this set for $5:
The box is open but it has all four sealed bags, the stickers, and both manuals, so I think it's complete. What mortal could open a box of legos and not tear open at least one bag?
Random question time!
Anyone else have tubs of random legos? How do you use them when building?
Like, when I was a child I essentially memorized every piece I owned and could even memorize each piece's general location in the small box I used to hold them. I would also dump them out on the rug and build while lying on the floor. Now I don't want bits of carpet in my legos, I have too many to memorize, and if I lie on the floor someone will start shoveling dirt on me.
So do you have a giant tray you dump them out on? Dig until you find the pieces you want? Sort them out some how? Go old school and dump them out on the rug? Use your children/other people's to fetch you necessary pieces? Have a perfect memory?

I use the shallow cardboard box-trays from Walmart Ramen for light organization while building, then I'll use Ziploc baggies to store the legos, either by color or by set. Right now I'm thinking about building a lego shed to store all my 1X1 dots as uranium fuel rods.
Pirate ships are awesome. Never had one or found parts to a pirate set yet. One day...
Been itching to build something and scoured brickset trying to figure out what sets I have, which has turned out to be tough. For example, I was not able to find the large screen that is the unique center piece of the ship I just built:
I looked under all the windscreens and under every color variation of green and all the transparent colors. In the end I figured it out by scrolling through every space set they made. Turns out there are only two sets with the large windows with the B on them and I only have one so I tried to make the Alien Intruder:
Missing a bunch of pieces (using alternates until I find the right ones) but got most of it down. Particularly missing the rocket-slider feet and one of the circular domes. Gave the ships wheels and front wheel steering instead of the rocket-sliders.
I love that when you raise the large screen it drops the plate in the center causing the little cars to roll out. Neat!

My two favourite sets when I was young.

And
Oh yeah. They are not the "super hero" ones.
Yup ''marvel super heroes " are the new sets
Same as the new DC sets
Years back it was only spiderman/batman being made.

cool its what they made the little promo mini fig from last month on lego.com for having a purchase of 99 or more.
