I recently picked up several small Star Wars sets for myself and the family. We got them on the cheap, so it was a no brainer. Are people generally collecting the bigger sets these days, meaning, are those more desirable? I'm debating on whether to open the extra small sets or not. Also, when did collecting the figures "minifigs" become popular? I was hoping to pick up some of the original space figures from when I was a kid, but WOW are they (1) hard to find and (2) expensive!
School or power plant. It's hard to imagine Lego would make a set based around a sketchy bar. I know theres more actual sets coming out this year too, so who knows. The Kwik E Mart set opens up and is incredibly detailed inside, they do a really good job at designing their Simpsons sets.
I went to Toys R Us tonight to scope out some Lego's. I'm not sure if this is a nation-wide promo or not, but here in NorCal they are having 20% off of City, MineCraft, and Disney sets. I believe the sale is through 3/14. Might want to check your local store!

I built this tonight, pretty awesome ship for the price.

I believe it was $44.99, but I paid less than that. I signed up for the store credit card to get the 20% (or whatever it was) off. For a purchase of this size, I think it was well worth it. I'll pay it off right away and enjoy my savings
Small heads up to my fellow Canadians. ToysRUs.ca is having a 20% off sale on their site as well, with over $25 spent getting free shipping. Sets on sale include star wars, city, and super heroes. Lots of sets are out of stock now, but some decent ones to be had depending what your after.
I recently got my wife into collecting and building the Lego Creator modular set. Of course, she's now only missing what I assume are the 4 most expensive sets. The Grand Emporium, the Town Hall, the Fire Brigade, and the Green Grocer.
Her birthday is coming up so if anybody has these complete in box for sale, let me know!

I had to splurge for 20 over retail for a jabbas palace right when it retired. I needed it to fit the rancor pit.

Definitely a missed opportunity to have the official BTTF DeLorean flying through the scene.

Could just change the tires to metal frames like the movie and put it on the track
