  • Like Lego? Like the Golden Girls? Well then you're in for a treat. The Lego Golden Girls idea received 10k supporters in just under a month. This is so fucking ridiculous that i'd probably buy a set just because.

Is that a commercial for a game?

The first part made it feel like a modernization of Indian in the Cupboard.

  • It's gonna be Skylander/di/amiibo. Lego version

Your post took me immediately to 3rd grade. I read the hell out of that book. Love it.
  • I saw the Dimensions thing, but the whole appeal of Lego to me is the building aspect, so i'm not interested. Looks like they'll cash in just like Nintendo did with Amiibos.

Just got a email from DC comics had this on it
  • Been building the yellow helicopter 3-in-1 set and was pleasantly surprised to see that it turned out to be full mini-figure scale and actually has room for one in the cockpit.

Gives me something to do with my 2nd green spaceman from the exosuit...
  • The Kwik E Mart set is on sale for VIP members, I ordered mine this morning
  • Nothing original but this was my favorite lego set as a kid! Got it when i was 9 and still have all the pieces 20 years later! Just put together again this past year! I have a few other cool ships i may put together and i'll post em if i do! Legos are fun!

    Awesome!

When I built some space ships a while ago I was going through the instructions for old space sets and saw that one and immediately tried building it.

Nice!! It's a pretty epic ship! I also have a big & medium one from the UFO like series that have the saucer sections! I may try an put those together soon! This one was always the most radical tho!
  • Got my Kwik E Mart today Can't wait to start building it. Also got the Police Dropship from the movie series, it was half price on Amazon so I figured why not.

  • Over the weekend i bought the entire contents of a grandparents Lego bin they had for when the grandkids were over. 12 pounds of stuff for $5.

Great deal but it's going to take 6 hours to sort out all the non lego junk (i.e. tinker toys, k'nex, puzzle pieces, batteries, spare change, hardened play dough). Although I have found a bunch of LOTR and SW minifigs so far so am very happy with my buy. Pretty sure I have spotted at least 2 different possible sets to be made based upon minifigs and key pieces i've seen.

  • One more day, please show your support:

I'd settle for this as well:

I love Starcraft, but that would never get approval. I'm pretty sure Blizzard has a deal with Mega Bloks for their franchises.

Plus i'd rather have something original like this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/57773
  • Finished my other UFO type ships! Got these like a year or 2 after the big white ship! They are pretty cool 2! I like the medium size one best. Though the large one is pretty sweet! The back section is only attached by magnets so it can take off whenever!
  • The Simpsons series 2 figures are out now, if anyone was wanting those. Best to find those earlier, before all the bags have been felt up like a girl on prom night.
  • Has anyone built the 10179 Millennium Falcon? I'm piecing it together on Bricklink and figured i'd check to see if anyone else has one. I will post the build once i get all the pieces.

  • So i got all the pieces together, now comes the build! This thing is going to take a while i think. The section of the table that it's on is about 2.5 feet long, so this is going to be massive. I'm really excited.

  • Here's all the parts laid out neatly, including the bit i put together already. I'm on page 20 of 316, so i got a while to go!
  • Over 5000 pieces is a pretty hefty build, especially when you don't build it bag by bag like in the instructions.
  • Yeah it's going to take me a few weeks i think. I'm going to take my time. It not being in the bags like the instructions definitely is hindering me, because even though i lay the bags out like in the picture, i still have to look through each bag for the pieces i need.
  • So you scrapped for pieces? Or bought it used with all pieces
  • Got the inventory file for a program called Brickstock and then imported the list to Bricklink and bought it in big lots from different vendors. It's a mix of new and used pieces, and i bought the cheapest pieces i could get in order to buy it for as cheap as possible. Made a few changes to some of the more expensive pieces because some pieces were really high priced for a certain color and not as much for a similar one. I used this website as a reference:

    www.dagsbricks.com/2014/07/lego-techniques-building-millenium.html

It worked out pretty well. Got it for a lot cheaper then i would have if i bought the whole set new or even used.
  • Right on man, make sure to post some finished pics. I wish I was into Lego at the time some of the UCS sets came out.
  • I'm taking pictures each day, to show progress. I can upload them if you guys want, but it's going to take a while like i said.
