How'd I do?--Large NES lot

How'd I do?

39 NES games (should have been 40, but a duplicate Top Gun was missing from the box, but that's about the best game that I could have been shorted).

2 NES controllers

10 dust covers

6 manuals

This was a private transaction outside of a video game community. The only money I spent was on a few dollars shipping things of around a total value of $75.

So, check out the pictures. How'd I do?

  • For some reason my first attachment attempt uploaded some other people's NES pictures, like a custom Superman NES. WTF? How did that happen?

Ok, it's fixed. I retitled my photos so the NA server won't mix them up.
  • Pretty good lot. Ninja Gaiden III and M.U.L.E. are both pretty uncommon.
  • I'd love quick estimates of value, if you don't mind. I have a number from my research and I know what the value of what I traded was, but anyone wanting to chime in with an estimate, please do.
  • Some good games dont know if you did good or not cause i dont know what you payed
  • How can we answer your thread topic question, if we don't know what you traded for this lot?

Fair enough. Let's say it was $75 worth of goods for this large NES lot.

    How'd I'd do?
  • You did really well there but I suck at giving an estimated value but I guess there is around 200$ worth of stuff lying on your floor there. Maybe a bit less since Ninja Gaiden 3 seems to be the only real big ticket item you got there.
  • Appears you did OK. The only really thing there is Ninja Gaiden III. Other then that mostly common stuff.
  • For a normal person I'd say you did really nice with the variety, but there's no gamecube there so you failed.
  • Yep, thanks for the responses. $200-ish was just about what I was thinking as well.

Unfortunately Ninja Gaiden 3 has just a little tear on the upper label on the top, but hopefully won't deduct more than about $5 of value. Still a $25-$30 game that plays absolutely perfectly and has so far been a ton of fun to play.
  • If your buyer on it's a condition crazy collector and just gamer or casual collector it will be just fine. If the board and pins are good and it fires up with no issue you're fine. At times I wish I still had NG1-3 but I have the SNES copy.
  • Thanks. Yes, this is a perfect playing copy, but certain collectors might be turned off by the minor upper label damage.
  • I'd advise snapping a pic of the damage and going from there. I've had a couple games or so with a somewhat jacked up flap and if the price was low enough I didn't care, still have a darkwing duck that isn't tops up top.
  • With a game like ninja gaiden 3, small label damages wont really matter at all and probably really wont even affect any price. That type of stuff comes into play if you are trying to sell lets say a princess tomato, collectors only type of game.
  • Thanks, guys.

I listed a good portion of these for sale in my for sale thread.
  • Your pic is kind of blurry/poor, but if I am seeing that right is looks like a wedge type slice/rip into it, but the label is still attached kind of hanging there. I'd think you(or new owner) could re-attach that fairly well.

Yes, you're right. But it isn't something I would dare to restore. I've always left things as they are without any clean up or modification besides basic cleaning. But I think this would be a perfect cart for playing and basic collecting.

  • I have more from this that is unpictured, such as NES Final Fantasy map and manual but no game.
