more colored 64's
So I've been living in Japan for a couple of weeks now. I went into a place called manga souko (a Japanese used outlet store) with my wife. I was searching for a regular Japanese 64. I picked up a standard one for 3,400 yen (aka 34 US dollars). Since I collect all the colored funtastic 64's my wife points out one sitting on the bottom shelf that I completely overlooked. It looked like a standard one from the top, but it just so happened to be the most rare 64 console! The jusco console! It didn't have a matching controller, but the console itself makes me happy. It was the same price as all the others. Very good day. I couldn't find one on eBay to compare. But my phone acts funny in Japan so maybe there is one on there.

Wow I never even knew this existed ... looks like the N64 collection just got a lot more expensive for me lol! Nice deal by the way!
You have no idea..
- This one boxed goes for $1200 ish
- The Daiei Hawks boxed goes for $800 ish
OP - did you get the matching controller with it? There's another 150$+ for the controller
Edit: it's quite hard to tell the difference in pictures, but in person, side by side, there's a pretty obvious difference

Great! Even more expenses, I don't even know what a Daiei Hawk is ...
Edit: Just checked what it is and damn! Also looks like you got that out of the way as well which is awesome. How much did you pay for yours?

This is the Daiei Hawks. It's another Japan exclusive. Clear orange on the top and clear black on the bottom. I have one of mine converted to play North American games. hence why there's an american game in one and a Jap game in another lol.
The Jusco is a lighter grey, and close up, looks to have a sort of purplish tint in it
You want my shopping list
ps. You should pick up any system/controller boxes you can find over there

That's a good idea. I did manage to pick up a white GC controller CIB. They have a ton of games CIB too. What's weird are game prices... You have games like ogre battle for 4.00 but 1080 is 17.00 lol. I'm going again on Friday to both stores and ill try to get some pics of this place.
Speaking of fliping a profit, I wont be going back to japan for another year so if you happen to runb across a spice orange gamecube while you are there i would be willing to pay you for it!
EDIT** I forgot to say NICE FINDS!!!!!!!

They had three there yesterday. I haven't shipped anything out yet but I'll look into shipping costs. I'm still waiting to move into my house at the moment so my hotel room is filling up fast lmao.
Thats awesome that they had so many!
I wonder, Have you seen a gameboy light while you have been there?
