I just bought Shaq Fu on the Game Boy for a fraction of the price!

I just got back from my local used game store of choice with a few games. Art of Fighting for the Genesis, Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the Playstation and Shaq Fu for the Game Boy. That last one I just saw, sighed in disgust at myself and said "I have to. I don't want to, but I have to." It was only two dollars, and for that price, I'm not going to complain.

It was really bad, but I expected that. This is a Game Boy port of Shaq Fu. Of course it's bad. But after playing it for about three minutes, I checked online for it's market value just out of curiosity.

I was shocked. According to Pricecharting.com, it apparently gets about five sales a year. They don't have data on the price of boxed copies of the game. This game is really rare. I'd guess I'll probably never see one in the wild ever again. The market value is $26. Not a huge amount, but still, it's a pretty cool feeling knowing that I own a game this rare. Even if it is a port of Shaq Fu.

  • Yea, that's a good $25 game. Nice find, probably more worth selling it than playing ha.

Nah, I think I'll hold onto it. I'm more of a gamer than a collector, so if it was worth about $100, I'd sell it in a heartbeat and buy a bunch of cheap games that I'd actually play. But at $25, that's not enough to warrant selling it.

    Pretty much.

That might be one of the best quotes ever.

  • I second the motion on that being the best quote ever for what to call a bad game with good money.
  • Yeah, I'm going to be using that phrase from now on. It's a pretty good way to describe expensive garbage like this unplayable piece of unicorn shit I just bought today.
  • Contact bulldogGamer

    He collects shaqFu's

I know he has like 70 genesis CIB

And One SNES CIB (bc I game it to him as a joke. SNES vs genesis thing)

But I bet he would honestly LOVE to have it
  • I might just do that. I'm considering keeping it for the time being, unless I can get a good deal on it.
