Put up a nice SMS Lot on eBay

I just listed a nice starter lot of Sega Master System on eBay.  5 day auction...  47 different titles... 28 of them are CIB.  Shipping will be exact cost only.  Will ship to Canada for anyone here on NA as long as you mention you are from NA of course.  image

  • good luck on your sale, i need Buster Douglas, if you have one let me know.
  • How many games were released for the SMS?
  • In the US it's around 110, I don't remember exactly.
  • watching this one
  • I was curious, does a rarity list exist somewhere for SMS ?

The DP Guide is probably your best bet
  • I put it on my watch list image I've been wanting to get into SMS, just haven't had the time lately. Good luck either way!
  • Thanks yeah this is a pretty easy set to put together with exception of like 10-12 that are difficult and of course the one stupid Sonic box with the UPC sticker on it. Otherwise most people should be able to put together say 95 - 100 out of the 110 or whatnot that exist for the USA set. There are like another 220 PAL SMS games and I bought about 75 of those just to have some of them with my USA set. I really don't plan to buy anymore of the PAL though as the amount I have now perfectly fits with the USA set into 1 bookcase.

For anyone on the fence about bidding here I would say this is a good started lot with a couple nice RPG's in it. Phantasy Star alone can sell for alot on it's own. When I bought up all the SMS lots I saw for about a 3 month period building my set it was incredibly frustrating as there are about 20-30 titles that you get with every single lot you buy so the doubles really skyrocket in a dissproportionate way when buying lots for SMS. Which is why this is nice as there are no doubles of any piece here.

    Thanks!

  • Yeah, I know all about SMS doubles... I just picked SMS back up again after a 5 year hiatus. I already have a zillion copies of zillion, hang on/safari hunt, and ghostbusters. I don't know what the heck I'm going to do with all of them. I nailed a bunch of mario/huck hunt cartridges to my wall in a mosiac pattern, and it looks really cool.... but the SMS carts don't have artwork on them, so maybe I'll use them like legos and make a sculpture or something.
  • I collect SMS also, pretty neat games. I wish i could get some proto's, they are so hard to obtain. I have about 100 games atm and buy some now and then. Much cheaper to get then NES and most of the time in good shape boxed and manuals. The games are pretty amusing, i used to play SMS alot when being a kid.
  • I used to play a lot SMS too. I had it long before the NES and managed to play great games such as Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Zillion, Gangster Town, Phantasy Star, among many others.

Besides, i´ve played a lot of exclusive brazilian SMS games, such as Castelo Ra-Tim-Bum (Ra-Tim-Bum Castle, a game based on a tv show for children), Férias Frustradas do Pica-Pau (Woody Woodpecker´s Frustrated Vacation), Battletoads in Battlemaniacs and Street Fighter II´(yuck, terrible game).

Some you still find on auction sites, some are very rare...
  • Here in brazil the Tectoy company still sells master system consoles, but now they don't have a cartridge input! The games are all loaded in it's internal memory. Back in the 90's the same company invested hard to make some exclusive games, some of them are really nice.

Braveheart! I sent you a PM. Check it out =D
