"Robots an Dinosaurs" an amazing find In The Wild!
I apologize for the long story, but this must be told.
So, I decided to take a trip to visit my Mom for my days off this week. She lives in a very small town about four hours and a ferry ride away so I don't get there as often as I would like. While reading the paper, I noticed an ad for the annual "garage week". It basically starts on Labour Day and runs for one week where people meet in one of the local parks to sell whatever they want. I hadn't been to this since I was a kid, so my Mom and I decide to go and look around. In the ad, each seller is allowed to submit a blurb of what they are selling. One particular ad I found hilarious as it just said "Robots an Dinosaurs" (spelled exactly as printed). So we arrived at the park and after looking around for a bit, we came across the "Robots an Dinosaurs" lady. She said she was selling a bunch of her son's things as he was now grown up and had long since moved away. And sure enough, on the table mixed in with her own crafts and trinkets, there were a lot of things related to robots and dinosaurs. Toys, puzzles, books. I had moved on to look at some other tables, but was soon called back. The lady had informed my Mom that she was also planning to sell a "computer system" and Nintendo games but had left it in her car. She brought it to the table and I opened it up....

The box.

SNES with no hook-ups and one controller.

There's a dinosaur.

Robots an Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs?

Dinosaurs!!!

DINOSAURS!!!

My hands were literally shaking as I opened EVO's box to check if it was complete.
How much did I pay?
$5.00 for the "computer system"
0.10 for games with no boxes
0.50 for CIBs
$8.50 total.

DINOSAURS!
also: EVO
The lady also told me that she had sold some other games at a garage sale earlier in the year. Who knows what was in that lot... most likely a box full of prototypes and Stadium Events.

Great find! What island did you find it on? I used to live in Anacortes, Wa...
On the West Coast of Canada, a small town just north of Vancouver. There's no direct highway to it because of the terrain surrounding, so you have to take a ferry to reach it.

Dude, nice find on the JP cart!!
Too bad I never owned a SNES (as a kid)
sick haul
She in fact had two tables. One table had her trinkets and other things mixed with the books and puzzles. The other table was entirely devoted to rows of dinosaur toys and robot-themed toys He had some really cool ones too, like Robocop, Transformers and Power Rangers. Cody really, really loved his robots an dinosaurs.
