Saturday Garage Sale Score
Been pityful lately trying to find anything. Saw the worst looking sale across from another one. Looked so bad, I didn't even want to go. But I did. Wasn't going to ask the woman if she had any old video game stuff, but I did. She told me her husband "might" have some and told me to wait.
He brought out two boxes. One of SNES and one of NES.
I was expecting the usual beat up console with a few games. But in the end I walked out of that driveway with THIS:

Zelda is sadly not there, but all the paper work is.
I will not mention how much I paid. Let's just say it was under $150.

I know this guy has more (including the Zelda he said should be in the box, but wasn't). I saw the Chrono Trigger and Mario RPG and know I had to buy the box. He said he had handheld stuff and there is some Game Boy and Game Gear manuals, but I'm not going to push my luck and go back.
This is oddly the second Chrono Trigger I found this summer, both with the guide. I sold the first guide and regretted it. Now I got one and not letting go.
But I am definitely jealous of the official guides....I'm starting to get in the mood to want to collect these as the only official ones I have are Earthbound, Game Boy Camera, Mario 64, and Goldeneye. That isn't the official Final Fantasy III guide you have, but the one you do have is the one I used to go to the bookstore to get hints at all the time as a kid
Nice finds though dude!
Ain't it amazing what you can get just by asking?
Why would you not want to go back? You know the guy has more cheap boxes of epic gamingness. At worst you could just pass on them.
