Neo Geo MVS Arcade Cabinet!
Hi guys, I'm really psyched about my find from last weekend so I thought I'd show it off. Since I picked up a Neo Geo AES a couple of months ago, I've been looking for an MVS arcade cabinet. I finally found one (a 2-slotter) for $375 so I went and picked it up. It was almost 2 hours away, it cost about $40 in gas for my van and it was in an upstairs apartment, and took almost 2 hours to get it down and loaded up because of a very narrow stairway it had to go down.
When I originally looked at it, the video was all garbled. I was so pissed because I thought I'd be leaving empty handed after the long drive, but I managed to figure out that it was just a matter of adjusting those little pots with hex keys that control the monitor settings.
It's in good/very good shape, the only real issue is that the left joystick doesn't stick down quite far enough to push the levers that tell it where the joystick is trying to go. I put some washers on the little rod below the joystick for a temporary fix, but I guess I need to replace it. I am new to arcades, can anyone tell me what kind of joystick I'd be looking for to replace the messed up one with?
I already ordered a 161-in-1 multicart that should be here next week. So excited!

Also picked up 7 new Neo Geo AES games for my collection. Paid $350 for Samurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown 3, Samurai Shodown 4, Fatal Fury 3, Fatal Fury Real Bout, Fatal Fury Real Bout Special, King of Fighters 96, and World Heroes 2 Jet. All complete and in good shape. Collection is up to 21 games (I have 2 games not pictured).

I've got one of those myself. What's those 3 wii games?
4 copies of Pandora's Tower, I also have a factory box of 6...bought them because I think they might end up being a rare game in 5 years or so.

It probably will not look exactly the same so you may want to replace both.
Have you tried it out with headphones?
Mickcris, thanks for the info. Ordered one of them (it looks identical to the one installed already).

Thanks guys No, I haven't tested the headphone ports yet. I would also love the mini/countertop cab, in fact, I may build a reproduction one, after I build my MAME cabinet this winter.

Cool. Its proabably the same exact one then. It looked a little more glossy in your picture so I wasnt sure.

I just got a 4 slot with a 161-in-1. I knew I wanted one for a long time, but now that I have it, I'm in love, lol! It's way cooler than I thought it was going to be. I'm going to play a different game everyday until I've played every game on that cart. 8) Today was Pulstar and man is that game rough, lol.
Nice. My 161 in 1 is going to be here early next week. Very excited for Metal Slug. Did you have any issues with the cartridge? Some people are saying the voltage in the power supply might not be quite enough to power it appropriately.
Also, have you upgraded your bios on it to Universe Bios? I was thinking about doing that also and wanted to know what the benefits are.

I played Metal Slug first thing, lol.
I haven't upgraded my bios. I guess on some games, when you try to play a game from the 161, the sytem will switch over to the next slot. But i just hit the game select button 3 times and it boots up the game I picked.
