Don't you hate when your cartridges are missing pins?

"I
have just recently purchased a Castlevania 3 nintendo cartridge from
you, and before I give you bad feedback I wanted to tell you that the
cartridge does not work, it has missing contact plates in the
cartridge. I would like my money back or a different cartridge that
works. If you can not honor my purchase of a working game, then I will
be forced to give bad feedback, thank you."

The buyer of course has a generic top loading system, which is why Castlevania 3 doesn't work for him. He really could have saved himself alot of grief by simply READING MY LISTING. Specifically, the very large red letters that warn that this game will only function in a Nintendo brand system.

  • It is really unfair to remove pins from games Pedro. What are you doing with all those pins anyway?

agreed ... LOL - let us know the buyer's name so we can block em from buying our stuff
  • ^ a better solution would just be for us to back Pedro up by sending simple messages with either links to articles that mention CVIII as incompatible with clones, or vouching for the fact that a large number of NES games have less than a full pin array.

It's all part of my plan for world domination!!!

I would love to let the cat out of the bag, but I should probably respect his privacy I guess. He is however on my blocked bidder list which I will post in the hall of shame thread.

I've just updated the Castlevania III template so that the big red letters are now blinking. Between this and Battletoads, I easily get one email like this every week now. since business picked up.
  • Wow, didn't know that about those carts. I'm glad I only use genuine Nintendo-brand hardware image
  • Can't we just send the cart to that eBay seller that replaces missing pins? image
  • It's been my experience that patiently explaining the reason why that cart doesn't work on 3rd party systems, rather than being pissed about the buyer's aversion to literacy, and making them feel stupid for not reading those disclaimers, tends to be far more productive. Some have even turned around and purchased licensed systems, but most simply acknowledge their mistake take the loss in shipping for a refund of the item price. And where you heavily pad your shipping, it's not like you're taking a loss in fees etc.

  • pedro, dont worry about it. it seems like every time i do a trade with sosa, i get games with missing pins. it appeasrs you and he are in cahoots to steal all the pins in nes games. funny thing though is the fact that i have never really played any of the games in my collection, so for all i know, i have tons of carts with smb/dh boards in them! hahaimage
  • So, pedro, how much do you get for all the scrap metal? image
