  • Bueno, I'll pick one up then. We're talking about this item specifically right?

  • One thing I've noticed about collecting for the Saturn over the past year is the prices can be all over the place. One auction for a CIB will end at a sealed price, then a sealed auction will end at a CIB price.

Yup.  That's where I picked mine up as well.

And RegularGuyGamer... I know... Sometimes this is good and bad.  Sometimes you get lucky and find really good deals just because no one notcied the auction or whatever.  One thing I regret is not getting into Saturn games years ago.  I remember when most games were dirt cheap.  Even ones that can fetch over $100 these days were relatively inexpensive.  When I got into collecting them and started looking at prices my jaw dropped.

Yeah it just goes in the cartridge slot and then when you boot up any import it goes to a screen to choose between starting the game, putting in cheats or using the memory function. Very simple. You can just keep the cartridge in all the time.

In fact, you really want to keep the cart in all the time. The cart slots on Saturns can be a bitch to get working sometimes.
  • I have a serious hard on for the Saturn and it's cases(Sega CD also.)
  • To answer the topic question: Saturn is fantastic to collect for, because that means you'll be buying Panzer Dragoon Saga and EVERYONE should experience that masterpiece. The lost source code (and thus no downloadable and/or disc compilation re-release) is devastating. That game is still one of my all time favorites, and I've had ever console since NES.

I've heard about that. No one has tried reverse-engineering the game from the CD?
  • I finished collecting on this system awhile ago, really interesting experience and quite a niche but fun lineup
