Greetings from M C Jefe!

Hello,

My name is Jeffery McDaniel and I am a retro gaming fanatic.  My father introduced me to gaming at an early age by transferring his enthusiasm and introducing me to his Intellivision and Commodore 64.  He purchased an NES for my brother and I the Christmas of the year it was released and I have been hooked on gaming ever since.

Today I own all of the modern consoles, but also have a fine collection of retro gaming items.  I have my original NES and a top loader, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, several Game Boy family members and variants, Master System, Genesis, Mega CD (with the American guts inside, i still have the Japanese guts that can be inserted to play JPN games, and I have the original JPN box!), 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, 3DO, Neo Geo CD (wish I could afford to collect AES), Neo Geo Pocket, CDI, Colecovision, Intellivision, Commodore 64, PS1 and PS2.  I also own a plethora of games and accessories for each.

This year I found out that I was going to have a son by Valentine's Day 2014.  I made it my goal to complete an NES collection before then so that when the day was right, I could introduce him to my first true gaming system and hope that he gains an appreciation for the artform that is gaming.  I decided to focus on NES instead of all platforms.  I started with my original collection of 40 or so titles (most of them CIB from my youth) and as of November 16th, 2013 have grown my collection to over 750 titles, including some PAL releases and two reproduction titles.  I only have about 35 left to go if I exclude PAL and Nintendo World Championships releases, so I'm quite close to finishing.  I have utilized every source imaginable to finding these games and these last few are the toughest to find.  I would prefer not to use eBay for the remaining US titles.

If anyone on here would like to compare doubles lists, let me know.  i have some Color Dreams, AVE, Camerica, and Tengen doubles in addition to some more common licensed titles.  I am down for trading or purchasing to finish up my collection and I am sure this is the place to make it happen!  I want to figure out how to use the collection tools on this site as I have heard they are quite good.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to being a part of this community.

Jeffery

Welcome man. Start a thread in the WTB section, and post whatever doubles you have for trade bait. Unless you're missing all the rares, I imagine you could finish up your set fairly quickly. Do you have a list of what you're missing?

  • thenickross, I have begun to catalog my collection in the Collections area of the My Home link. Is there a way to easily share that with other users? It quickly shows a list of my remaining games.
