What do you use to display NES (or atari) games?

I don't have too many games yet, but I'm looking for ideas for storing/displaying the games - curious what other people use. I have mostly loose carts, with a handful of boxed games.

  • Display is tough since sunlight destroys printed matter and has other heinous effects on certain carts. I keep all of mine in a cabinet in the living room (climate controlled, out of direct light). Although they're concealed I still keep them connectors-down since I don't keep dust sleeves and I'm paranoid about dust

For boxed games there's information floating around about thin clear plastic box-sleeves that will keep them crisp and make it so they archive better. For looseys I've seen everything from the patented "Wall-o-Games" custom shelves to an appropriately-sized Rubbermail "Walmart special."

This brings to mind, we don't have a whole lot of collection photos here on NA yet, I should get off my arse and start a thread. Some individual users do have links to their own sites with pics of how they archive, explore a little. And welcome to the site
  • The collection tools will have this option built in. That way we can all post pics of our collection here on this site.

I use this for my loose NES games. They fit perfectly when side by side.
You can check the prices out here. It's nice.
For my boxed NES games, I use shelves I bought from a video game store closing. I don't have pics, but it's pretty standard video store fare.

By the way, did you see that this thread was 3 years old image ?

  • Wow. well you know, that's me all over.

    I love game room/storage/display talk. It's a minor(major) obsession I have.
  • I've got an entertainment center fairly dedicated to this:

  • The funniest part about this thread being 2.5 years old is NGD's quote:
