FA - Retrozone NES HDMI Prototype Top Loader Console
Get the perfect XMAS gift this Holiday Season.
Up for sale is the very very rare prototype NES HDMI console from retrozone made by Bunnyboy himself. I was one of the original winners in the beginning beta phase:
http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=34&threadid=81857
This console has been updated with the latest firmware and upgrades.
What makes this console more valuable is that Bunnyboy will NOT modding top loaders for HDMI. The reason being is that they can't make it work on every HDMI equipped television. That is the main reason I'm selling mine since my main SONY XBR5 won't display the HDMI from this console.
The TV's that have been found to for sure work are:
40" Sony LCD
42" Sony LED
47" Panasonic LED
24" Toshiba LED
60" Sharp LED - Picture looks SO good on a 60"
47" Panasonic LED
- These are just a few examples of TV's that we know it works on for sure.
The TV seems to have trouble working on Samsungs. Basically, some TV's don't detect the console so it won't show at all. My Sony XBR5 65" is an example of that. So BUYER BEWARE. You may have to get a different HDMI TV for this to work. THERE WILL BE NO RETURNS IF IT DOESN'T WORK ON YOUR TV.
This also doesn't run every game perfectly through the HDMI. Some of the games have been know to have weird small graphic glitches but the games still work fine.
Remember that this is a prototype console with beta testing. There are very few of these in existence and there won't be any more made.
Here are photos of the console:

To give you an idea of the difference in resolution, here is a RFU connection with SMB and then an HDMI connection with SMB:

Here are a couple games with HDMI connection. The graphics are so crisp!
SMB3

Crystalis

This is a GEM that probably won't come up for sale again.
Good luck!!!
UPDATE 12-13-2013 - I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that this is for just the console. There are no cables included so you will have to provide cables for it. That is the exact way I received this myself, console only.

Does the audio feed through the HDMI? I see the white composite connector there, so wasnt sure if that was used for audio or not. Does the USB-mini A power the HDMI upconverter/upscaler [which I assume is in there]?
Audio is the composite plug you see on the side. Mini usb is for updates I believe

Got it. I have one TV that this might work on... and its the only TV that has composite audio option to play with HDMI...

Correct the mini usb port was to be used for updates.
I will send a PM on over. Mods can lock this up.
