Has anyone recieved their copy of Ditka from mb7241?

It has been a few weeks since the expo, and I still haven't recieved my copy and Matt has not responded to PM.  Did something happen with this that I haven't read about?  I can't even find the original thread with him making the offer to pick some copies up for people.

  • I haven't heard anything either, other than 1 person didn't pay him. I haven't seen him around the site in a few days though. Probably saving funds to ship them all if I had to guess, lol.

  • saving funds to ship them.. lol, i hope thats not it!
  • I think he and Chad ran off to make love children together.
  • ^ on a big ol' pile of Ditka.
  • mb did say he got a Gold Ditka through one of the auctions. I bet they're using that as the pillow for their hot love trist.
  • Yeah I have been wondering where mine is too? I mean I got my Gold Ditka in the NA auction from NGD over a week ago... if I knew Matt was gonna take this long to ship Ditka I woulda just bought one of NGD's extras!
  • i havent gotten mine either, but he did say it would take him a while to package them all up safely and ship them out. i dont care really, as long as i end up getting it!
  • that's why i go through paul image Got mine over a week!
  • I'll be sending them tomorrow before work. Because I've taken so long, anyone that didn't get Priority (except for you international types due to extreme price differences) is upgraded to Priority Mail. I've been on the site and posting a few here and there as normal, though...must've somehow overlooked your PM, postermen. I will say this, though...I haven't exactly been well lately. Earlier tonight, I had a migraine to the point of not really knowing where I was or who I was with...that was scary.
  • I m sure  we will see them soon.
  • Damn mb, do you get migraines like that often?

I get migraines rather often, yes, but I've never before had one that severe.  I took 3 ibuprofens, and that seemed to make it worse.  I went to bed last night at 9:45 PM (about 5 hours earlier than normal), woke up at 1 AM, back to sleep at 2:30 AM, and woke up at 11:30 this morning.  I feel alright now, except a bit dizzy...
  • My wife used to get really bad migraines like that until she got Lasik surgery. Any problems with your vision?
  • Hell with ibuprofen take a couple vics or percs unless your allergic. If you don't mind needles go to the ER and usually if you complain of migraines they'll shoot you with demoral(did I spell that right?),either way you shouldn't have to suffer.

Not to cause any alarm, but my Dad used to have "cluster migraines" similar to what you're talking about.  He had them in groups for a couple weeks every year since he was a teenager.  Finally, in 1997 he had them for a couple months straight (to where he had a take-home oxygen tank to make them tolerable).  One day, during that time he passed out, and my mom took him to the hospital.  Turns out he had a rather large brain tumor.  They operated, removed it, and he's still doing fine today.

Moral of the story, if you consistently have severe migraines, see a neurologist!

  • I had the most severe migraines ever when I was younger. Turns out I had a bone out of place in my neck. I had MRI's, Cat scans, EEG and TONS of tests done. They thought I had a brain tumor. After every test was negative the docs had no clue what to do. As a last ditch I went to the chiropractor and he made them go away quickly with adjustments. I totally reccommend you try that, well worth the time and $$$. He saved my life.

  • I would suggest an actual spine docter over a chiropractor for initial visits.
  • Mine was the top bone on my spine, called the Atlus bone. He knew it was out of place immediately and the real docs had no idea after 1000's of dollars and tons of test. One pop of my neck each way and my ungodly headache was gone in literally 30 seconds. I swear by a chiropractor.

  • Well, I guess it's good that you got help, but the vast majority of chiropractors are snake-oil salesmen. There are some truly dangerous things that they do that feel good in the short term but can be deadly for certain people.
  • I've been going to a chiropractor off and on for probably 15 years. Always helps me out image

My vision's great (20/15 at last checkup), except for mild astigmatism...

    Well...I'm
not the kind that believes in popping prescription pills or anything
like that image .  Ibuprofen, aspirin, acetaminophen, Excedrin, that's
about as far as I go when taking pills.

    They
do tend to happen in groups, usually about once a day for a week or
two, then there will be 4-8 months without a headache at all, and then
another couple weeks...  Can't exactly afford a neurologist, though
    (crappy insurance) :/ ...

Interesting concept.  My mother used to go to a
chiropractor when I was younger...he seemed to know what he was doing
    pretty well.
  • my wife used to have really bad migranes, to the point we had to go to the hospital and get her some morphine. after going to the neurologist, she is now on topomax (an antiepleptic drug used at low doses) and is doing awesome.
  • Topamax... *does a quick search* That doesn't sound like anything I really want to get into...memory loss and fatigue? If I was any more fatigued, I'd be sleepwalking everywhere I went image .

Back on topic, I was able to ship some (roughly half) of the Ditkas during the afternoon Friday. The remainder will follow Monday.
  • yea, like anything it has side effects, but after a while your body gets used to it. dont know about the memory loss though, she never had that.
  • Did anyone ever get theres, I still have not seen mine yet.
  • I got mine a couple weeks ago...
  • I was hoping mine would come a few weeks ago too, I doubt it would have been caught up in customs it wasn't worth enough for them to collect. Im starting to feel a little disappointed aboot this.
  • i live in the states and still didnt get mine
  • Any update on this ? I haven't received my copy yet.
  • me neither :S
