Maine searching

Visiting family here in Maine, hit a few thrifts, and finally bull moose music, most from there actually, that store kicks ass. Spent 34 bucks all day. Wild arms, vagrant, and driver were all for about 5 a piece after getting a stack and some haggling.

  • What part of Maine are you visiting and which Bull Moose Music did you hit? That's one of my favorite places to buy games but the local one has a reseller that works thereI'm surprised you managed to snag what you did congratsIf you manage to be around the Augusta area hit up Video Game Exchange. You probably won't find any steals but the people that owned the store are usually negotiable and have fair prices to begin with.
  • Anything near Alfred/Sanford Maine area? I am visiting my grandmother there in a couple weeks and if there is anything worth hitting then I'd like to check it out.
  • Ohhh driver. The first one just made me so angry by having to do special driving moves to get outta the garage.
  • nice score ....
  • I was near bath and brunswick, your must be taking Augusta bull moose if you re talking game exchange. I actually grew up there, that place is the original, haven't been in like... 15 years, they've been around forever.

This bull moose had no resellers. In fact when I got out of this world, the owner was like "that was in here?? Been trying to remember the name of that game for years". Ps1 gold mine there..or was anyway haha.

Sanford area...no idea, but find bull moose lol. Also the salvations and thrifts in rural maine are pretty good.

If you hit brunswick try The Game Box, retail prices for sure, but they have a little bit of everything, some pretty rare boxed stuff, power gloves, robs, virtua boys, etc. I almost bought a boxed u force there, but didn't know what a good price was, and also...it was a u force.
  • Might be taking a road trip to PEI during the spring/summer, so glad to know that Maine has goodies in it worthy of looking a bit.
  • Let me know if you want to trade that Vagrant, great find!
  • Once i get home and sort it all out i might sell a few of the ps1 stuff.

Just got back yesterday from another looking trip in portland. There are 3 stores within like 3 blocks of each other. Strange Maine, and Electric buddhas are listed on NA and other places, the 3rd i just stummbled across called Coast City Comics and Toy Box. Strange maine is kinda gross, dink of an owner, Buddhas had some cool stuff, guy was aweseome, we played Atari Blip for like....30 minutes together, but not so good on prices.

But coast comics....WOW. coolest store....ever? I walked in and they had 8 or so pinballs machines, a playchoice 10, several other arcades all ready for play. They were all back there drinking and playing, great times, coolest owner ever. Cool stuff everywhere, boxed microvision, boxed jaguar, boxed colleco, etc etc, decent prices, he made me a nice deal on some games. But the toys and comics there....wow, little bit of everything. Even had the GI joe aircraft carrier CIB, for like 1200 dollars, but still. If you are shopping in maine you have to check it out, if nothing else but to play some old school pinball, even Gilligan's Island!

PS- good luck searching here in the wild tho, these guys all go everyday to each pawn and thrift, everyweekend to the fleas, sounds like they have it locked up here.

I did get lucky with a craigs ad, red gameboy color, mario 2, pac man, star wars, and pokemon gold for 7$ all together, picking it up tonight.... I hope.

I'm actually about 20 minutes north of Augusta but the Bull Moose Music I was talking about is in Waterville.
