High bid:

Up for sale is a unique set of custom-made Metroid figures.  I got these from the guy who made them (sometime in the last couple years), and I thought they were pretty awesome.  They're not professionally done, but they have some great details, and they are a lot of fun.  I have been selling off a lot of my Metroid collection, and it seems like there might be some interest in these, so I wanted to offer them up here as an unusual folk art addition to someone's Metroid collection.

In addition to certain poseable features on the Samus figures, the Ridley and zoomer each have an "action" move (Ridley's wings flap via pressing a button on his back, and the zoomer has a release switch that makes his legs clasp shut from the open position).  There are two Samus figures in different suits and corresponding morph balls as well as six other accessory items.  I took some action shots and different angles, but feel free to ask if you want to see a certain side or anything.  In order to avoid a flurry of incoming requests, I preemptively took the obligatory butt shot

Comments

  • I about lost it on the butt shot. Good luck on the sale!
  • Anyone recognize what original toy Ridley was made from? It looks really familiar... maybe some sort of Aliens toy? Very unique offering; good luck!
  • I've got to watch this, maybe tax money will show and i'll be down.

Awesome, thanks! I'm pretty sure one of my brothers had that, too. Sorry to derail the thread (free bumps though, I guess?)

  • Nah I don't mind at all It's a fun conversation, and every post gets me more eyes on the auction. I'm glad someone knew what that figure was!
  • Lol @ last pic Good luck on the sale.

Also, for one second, I thought the title was "Come hitler"
  • I like the energy tank (and the ass shot)!

What are the Samus figures made from? One of the X-men girls?
  • haha, some great comments on these.

Pinkus, I'm not sure, but that's definitely a good guess.
  • I think the Samus figures are old Spider Woman action figures from the 90's.
  • haaaa lol the flying alien queen, had one too! it's from 1992, so it kind of makes sense for a game which is from 1994

Thank you!  But the auction ended Sunday, with no bids.  And the figures were sold afterwards via pm.  This just hasn't been locked yet, haha.
  • Lame! Haha. I skimmed the posts so it's all good.
