A meteor crashed one fateful day...
I did it! I completed the most expensive and hardest to find Nintendo 64 game! This was an ongoing project that took over 3 years of looking and just today I got the last piece. Here's a couple pictures of my now 100% Complete Clayfighter Sculptor's Cut, or as the clueless people say it, Clayfighter 63 1/3 Sculptor's Cut:
I don't care if it's not mint. It's complete, it's in good shape and it's mine! The box is very nice and the front of the cart is also in excellent shape. The back cart label is mostly missing. Although I could swap that out for an identical back with the correct punchout, I haven't opted to do that yet as I'm not sure if I should. The manual, well the positives of it are that there are no stickers on it, no marker, and no missing pages. It's perfectly readable. It's not mint, but at least I finally have it.
Now here's the breakdown of what I paid:
$10 for the Cart at a Pawn Shop back on April 13th or 14th 2012. Back then a mint Sculptor's Cut cartridge was only $60-80 on ebay.
$260 including shipping for the Box which was bought online from NintendoAge user sixthousand. Item was paid for on December 10 2012, it was shipped on the 15th, and arrived on the 24th.
$160 for the Manual bought today. It was bought from a Flea Market from a very very good friend of mine! I'm at his booth all the time so I he gave me a really good price.
And about $1 for the correct inserts and baggie. The ones I have are the exact inserts that were originally packaged with Sculptor's Cut, right down to the correct product code. I constantly see ebay sellers "piece" this game together incorrectly with the wrong inserts and wrong product codes.
That's a total of $431 which I think is a bargain in today's market. Take that ebay! I didn't have to pay your shitty prices!
