A NWC on the german eBay? Wut?!

http://www.ebay.de/itm/NES-World-Championship-1990-/131125933433?pt=DE_PC_Videospiele&hash=item1e87b6f579

So if this isn't a fake that guy has no idea of the value. Description says he got it from his uncle who lives in America. No mention of the game being rare or anything.

It just seems weird to me.

I see. It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like the glue stains at the bottom of the label seem to match up in the auction picture and the pictures in that thread so the pictures might be stolen. Anybody have a link to that picture on another side?

Since I live in Berlin just like the seller I'm gonna ask to look at the cart in person. I'll tell you his response

    Let us know!

  • As I recall, the German guy here sold it to someone on this site from...I want to say the Netherlands? The guy from the Netherlands then put it up for sale again a few months after he had bought it. His username eludes me, but you may want to ask him what became of his sale. It may provide some clues to this listing.

You are thinking of # 0020?

  • Yeah I have the #0020 and it's the real deal.

    This is something else...

    Beliskner let us know!
  • Didn't get a reply yet
  • Well that is not a surprise.
  • Well, 310 was mentioned on the "What do we know about NWCs thread", but nothing was really revealed about the owner. Could be legit?

  • I was just about to open a thread on this one... then i noticed Beliskner was faster. Good job! =)

This is pretty sure a fake auction:

Also contacted the seller, but without response.

So i think we should try to get it off ebay by reporting it, before someone gets scammed big time.
  • Here is the translation to English from google:

Hello, I am selling here a game for the old NES console.

This game I got from my uncle who lives in America and it no longer wanted.

There are on it three games: Super Mario Bros, Rad Racer and Tetris.

I did it only once bunutzt because it did not interest me further.

Since I have already sold the rest and it is the last piece of my childhood.

I hope it finds a collector who treated well, so that it looks good for many years.

It is fully functional and has no signs of wear.
  • If you zoom in on the ebay picture, and the original NA thread, there are some similarities that seem to match.

to the right of the Nintendo World Champ 1990 logo there are 2 black marks. They appear to match exactly on both the ebay picture and the old Nintendo age thread.

Also towards the bottom of the game cart, there is a vertical white line. Those 3 lines appear to match as well.

The old Nintendoage thread says it was sold via ebay, and was not the old OPs to begin with. Shinju was looking to sell it for "A friend" and it was later sold via ebay.

I am one of the first to call BS, but the pictures appear to match the NA thread from 2 years ago.

So what the heck is going on with this? I hope the seller responds to your guys questions. (or the other 12 people's questions)

So does the seller really have this and have no clue ? or is something nefarious going on.
  • Item has been removed. Still no response from the seller
  • Maybe the seller got a fantastic direct offer of 999 euros and decided to stop wasting time?
  • It was fake, let's move on..
