Does Anyone Have A SupaBoy And Pokefami DX Famicom Adapter?

Does anyone have a supaBoy and a Pokefami DX Super Famicom to Famicom adapter? If so, could you test the adapter out on the Supaboy? I want to see if it can play Famicom games on screen. I see them on eBay, but they're kinda pricey, so I was wondering if someone could test it out for me. I need something I can use besides the Game Axe.

  • The adapter you're thinking of is the RetroPort, yes they display to the built in screen (via an unused expansion pin).

Keep in mind, there are two versions of the RetroPort adapter. The one bundled with the Retro Duo Portable is shit. The other one available individually is much better.

Haven't heard any details on the adapters with a 60 pin connector.
  • Actually, I'm talking about this: http://bit.ly/1cLkbLW I know the Retro Bit adapter won't work on the screen for the Supaboy, so I'm not asking about it.
  • Both the Poke Fami DX and that Famicom adapter are made by GameJoy, so I'd say they're compatible. No idea about the Supaboy.
  • The screen on my Supaboy is getting more scratches by the minute, so untill I can find a screen protector replacement solution that doesn't involve cheap plastic iPhone screen protectors that will only prevent it from getting worse, I'm thinking about getting another portable Super Nintendo clone that would work better, and use adapters that let me play Famicom, NES, and Genesis games. I know the Retro Duo Portable is my best bet, but I'm not too sure about Famicom game compatablitiy. Maybe the Retro Bit adapter and my pin converter would work on the RDP. I've heard bad things about the Pokefami DX, but it has a Famicom adapter. Anyone know another type of SNES clone that will let me play my Super Famicom Tetris games AND my SNES Donkey Kong Country cart? The more adapters for other carts, the better!
