How do I access one hard drive from two computers?

Seems like I've heard of this being done. Is it just a matter of a special adapter or something? Thanks in advance.

    Well, you could use NAS + Router, that's my favorite way of doing it. Other than that, use a router + workgroup + XP/Vista/2000 sharing. Right-click the drive, click sharing, turn on sharing, etc, etc. Lots of how-tos on the nets.

    What Thor said, just set it up as a shared folder, you can also control the computer itself thru remote access, right click my computer and youll see the tab, then set it up
