Not bad last night - kept a suspense line though out the episode.
Like mentioned in talking dead, it's basically a mirror 'what if' episode with the savoirs group.
How two different methods of living in that world can create another self.
You can tell the red head was a carol, she even mentioned it with her back story - the difference is that carol slowly went into the transformation while the other girl basically flipped.
Good story about the female leads in the series

And if you're reading the comics, wtf ! In the last issue
The saviors stated multiple times that they are all Negan and they showed the polaroids of the heads bashed in above that guys bed. Obviously we will see "a negan" in the finale, but are they all just calling themselves Negan since they are all killers or is there an actual guy named Negan?
I think were seeing Maggie become a leader and doing what she has to do. I think she will start her own community soon...
From what I understand Jeffery dean morgan was casted as Negan, some people think it may be a ploy and they did somthing completly different with the show. I hope not Negan is a personal favorite of mine in the comics,
Also if you have read the comics then you can see what's coming with maggie
Looks like spoilers are now up for those interested for S6E14...I'm not going to say anything but it sure looks like one we won't want to miss this one. Here is the linky ladies and gents:
I enjoyed the episode. I felt it was slower than others, but I still liked it. Eugene was real irritating today. Eugene has a way with words with Abraham lol.
Sucks Carol takes off. I wonder who will fill the open doctor position.
someone is going to die looking for carol. its too predictable not to happen.
I dont even remember Dwight. Can anyone fill me in?
I think theyre gonna steal the doctor from the hilltop group.
and where is the rest of negans group?
I have not caught up in the comics, but in the show, Dwight was with 2 other female characters. One was a younger girl that was ill, and the other was an older lady. I cannot remember if they were related, but they were traveling together and Daryl bumped into them running away from what seemed to be a dangerous group combing a burned down forrest for them. Daryl did not want to help them out, but ended up doing so. By the end of the episode they had taken his motorcycle I believe at gun point or by his own crossbow and left him alone in the woods.
Fast forward to now and well, it seems Dwight is part of Negan's group. He now has a burn on one side of his face.
This is what I remember as I never did rewatch that episode, but it was before Daryl, Abraham and Sasha run into Negan's group.
Lol I liked that ending of tonights episode with someone getting shot!
I usually avoid any Walking Dead threads just because the graphic novel is further along so there is the chance of spoilers. Hopefully I've not made a mistake posting in this thread haha!
Yea... no idea why they left Alexandria basically deserted from those capable enough to put up a fight to find 2 people. They are smarter than this right?
Yea, chasing after Carol and Daryl was dumb. And Daryl chasing after Dwight to go kill him, was also dumb especially with no intelligence on where he was. Daryl is usually smarter than that.
I hate that horrible writing. Season had zero satisfaction. Gimicky bullshit hook cliffhanger.
I thought the season was enjoyable... minus Glenn and his dumpster. I dislike having to wait basically 7 months for the next season but that is TV! I suppose I will have to put up with Fear the Walking dead until then.
I didn't really like the ending either, there was just a sense of dread the entire episode, and we got no closure. I guess it's meant to cause the viewers hate of Negan to grow over the next six months?
what a fuckin hack show. there were a few decent episodes in the middle of this last 8 that kept me onboard, but I'm done now. there's no excuse for that shit. either do it and own it, or don't do it.
death wouldnt be a huge emotional death to end a season so they decided the suspense was better for them.
he gave all his making bullet info to rick. Abraham knows where to produce. Had the big emotional buildup of eugene getting respect. Hes no longer needed.

If it is Eugene, then... wow. I mean all this build up to Negan and it would be Eugene that gets the wrath of Negan? I think it was Glenn.
Either way, I am on board with not liking the ending. At this point, it does not even feel like the impact of losing a main character would be as great since there is about a 6 month break. I thought we would be losing at least 3 characters. I feel like this episode could have been shorter and was a good set up for a season finale if anything.
It was Daryl, on the talking dead show (he was a guest) and there was that uncomfortable silence from the fan question-not only this but he is in a new TV show. Gotta be Daryl...i was also thinking that they brought in that Jesus character to replace him somehow and now I am pretty sure.
My wife has been complaining that nothing happens on this show. After that 90 minute finale, I have to agree. It should've been 60 minutes. 90 was dragging it out. Also, the cliffhanger felt very gimmicky and took away a lot of the impact it could have had if they had just played it straight.
Some positives: I actually liked Jeffrey Dean Morgan's performance as Negan that was one of the things I thought worked (and I was never all that excited about the character in the comic, I thought he was just Governor 2.0) Andrew Lincoln's performance was also great in that scene. I also liked the creepy whistling thing the Saviors did. That was nice touch.
I guess I'm definitely in the minority here but I actually liked it (the fiance said she hated it too) to me it had a sort of claustrophobic, no escape, thing going for it. I think it just solidifies no matter how much you think you've got someone else has more, and they're always gonna want more than what they have right now, it's a pretty good example of where most of society lies even without zombies. Also I thought Negan was fantastic even though I knew he was an asshole I immediately liked him and that's the kind of charisma a character like that needs.

I will start to read the comics tomorrow, so I look forward to seeing how the show is compared to the books.

Gives me something spoilerish to think about regarding Daryl
Carol now MIA is a nice draw, happened before but sucky time to happen

Well shit that escalated quickly

The season finale is going to be intense...

It has to be eugene.
