INL Boards and games that do not work properly or at all

I'm finding that some of the games I want to play are not easily compatible with the INL boards. I'm hoping this thread can be a helpful exchange of information for other users who are looking to get the most of their INL boards.

With that said, I've been trying to get Rockman & Forte/Megaman and Bass, and Crimson Echoes to run on the 4MB boards and 8MB boards respectively. So far I've only been able to get Rockman/Megaman and Forte/Bass to run on the "12MB" board. This is a bit strange considering that the game is natively 32Mbit/4MB which should be 1:1 compatible with the 4MB boards. If anyone is looking for a solution, make sure your file's MD5/CRC32 matches the info below. This source file also works with the english patch. Also, I'm using Danin's latest loader, v11.5.

Rockman & Forte (J) [!].smc

MD5 (Rockman & Forte (J) [!].smc) = 55d9cdb05f53a3f7a5e3eacb81b28f09

CRC32 (Rockman & Forte (J) [!].smc) = 5047e0d4

I have yet to get Crimson Echoes to boot on any of the 8MB or 12MB boards. I've tried reordering the rom and padding it up to 8MB and running it on both 8MB and 12MB boards without success. Has anyone found a solution for this ?

  • I have had a similar issue with Wonder Project J. My initial suspicion is that hiRom doesn't work right (or is very tricky to set up correctly) on the 4/8MB boards.
