  • Have you looked into the Everdrive GB? Its a flash cart for your Gameboy that handles all Gameboy and Gameboy Color games. you can find it here: http://shop.retrogate.com/Everdrive-GB-EDGB.htm
  • yeah i own one. but I would like to put the board in a green gameboy shell and be able to use the game in pokemon stadium 1 & 2.
  • i'm thinking it might be cheaper for me to just buy a usb 64m smart card and just flash the game to it and put it in a pokemon shell.
  • Its completely possible to do, but it's a lot of rewiring (think star fox 2.)
  • if i was to go the route of just getting a flash cart and putting just this one rom on it, which flash cart would you recommend?

it would have to be compatible with pokemon stadium & fit into a regular grey game boy shell.

I thought about the USB smart card 64m but I'm not sure if that would fit into a regular shell and i'm not sure if removing the usb would be harmful.
  • I'm not sure someone here would know, but the community I used to be very active in at gbatemp forums (google the address) are very much into hacking, rom releases(but not the roms themselves, they ban for links), creation of new games, emulators for handhelds or on handhelds, and so on. I bet someone there has either attempted it or knows if it can be done.
  • Just guess with no research, but you might be able to find a surface mount EEPROM with the correct physical size and pin number.

The Drag and Derp cart is pretty much exactly that. You can copy one game via USB.

It's expensive though, and perhaps not produced anymore. It was $100 per cart, possibly more nowadays.
