Hello! I've been watching this site like a hawk the last few weeks, I've just gotten into fixing NES's and things have taken off since then. I do have one big issue I just ran into on ebay... Someone just bought an item with a brand new ebay account with zero feedback. Their location says the US, but their address says New Zealand I made sure I was set to only US shipping and was. I messaged them saying that I didn't ship outside. Does this sound like someone who would try to screw me over? Just trying to be protective of my assets is all I guess.

when using ebay/paypal to sell your items only ship to a Confirmed Address.  It will say whether it is or not right under the person's address when you receive their paypal payment.  if they have an unconfirmed address, refuse to ship to them and cancel the transaction fast.  unfortunately, paypal always sides with the buyer in these situations.

if you ship to the confirmed address make sure you get tracking from the PO or UPS.  then you are safe.

You may have been opted into the global shipping program (Im not sure if Ebay does this for new users), but I was opted in without confirming I wanted to.

Thanks for the help and welcomes, I think I've gotten it on the right track. The buyer messaged back saying he hadn't realized he had his location set as the US and that he was from a different country. So I sent a report to ebay to cancel the sale. See where it goes from there.



Anyways, thanks for the input. I'm really impressed with how much people look after others in situations like this. Thanks!
