SLROM pinout rewiring

It's my first time making a repro that requires some rewiring.  I am trying to make New Ghostbusters II so I am using SLROM (Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf) as my donor cart.  I found the instructions on how to rewire the pins here: http://nesdev.com/NES EPROM Conversions.txt

All of the instructions seem pretty straight-forward except for soldering pin 24 to GND (OE).  No matter how hard I look, I can't seem to find any diagrams of the SLROM pinout so I have no idea what it is.  The only diagrams that I have found seem irrelevant to SLROM and they say to solder the pin to a hole that isn't even open.

If anybody can help I'd appreciate it.

  • I would wire it to pin 16.

There is a much more in depth, better answer below though, Lincoln rules.
  • Pin 24 on an EPROM is /OE which stands for output-enabled-when-low. Output has to be enabled to read the chip, and low means grounded (vs high which is usually 5V). So the instructions say connect pin 24 to pin 16(not just hole 16) which is connected directly to the ground path. You can use just about any gnd point on the board. Pin 16 is just an easy reference.

On the chr side you have to connect pin 24 to hole 2 as it won't work if it's permanently grounded. In this case it's apparently switched on that trace.
