Need Help updating a Reproduction Cart GBA
Hi there, I currently have a reproduction cartridge of FIre Emblem: The Sword of Seals. Its come to my attention today while playing with a friend who is playing at the same time that my patch in horribly horribly outdated. i was wondering if anyone on here would be able to help me accomplish this, considering I'm a huge stickler for these kinds of thigns. As well as hopefully answer a few questions for me. 1. Will applying a new patch erase the save data? 2. Is this something I can accomplish on my own easily or could someone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish this myself. I am willing to pay for services rendered, so please if anyone could give me a hand, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

That should get you the updated patch. I'm assuming you know how to apply it, if not - Google is friendly.

I don't think patching a ROM does anything to your saved data as the save data file is separate from the ROM file. Check out rom hacks.net I believe it's called. That should get you the updated patch. I'm assuming you know how to apply it, if not - Google is friendly.
Yeah i've been looking at google and I came across this:

Is it true that GBA reproduction carts aren't "true cartridges" but are in fact modified flash carts? If thats the case, How do i tell if the repro I have is indeed a flash cart. I tried taking a look on google but I think my goal is too specific so maybe you could shed some light on this? thanks!

It might be one of those 128 MB flash carts that are only writable once. Not sure, anyone can shed some light on this? Thanks.
