Hello World!
Feel free to call me Vargas. I currently live in a small town in Ohio, just short of about 5,000 residents. I'm currently 15 years of age, as of May 26, 2014. I've explored the NintendoAge forum for quite a while, but just finally decided to make an account. A short while ago, I became interested in antique video game collecting, and my friend directed me to this website. I haven't been collecting for very long, but my collection will soon eventually grow. The first console I ever played was my dad's NES he received as an award for delivering a certain amount of newspapers on his paper route. I was only three years old when I beat the first stage on Super Mario Bros 3. Years after once my parents got married, they left the NES at my dad's house. My aunt ended up selling it at a yardsale for $5, with several controllers, a gray zapper, and dozens of games, without anyone knowing. It's a cheesy, but sad story.
A few years or so back, my parents decided to start going garage saling, and asked if I'd like to go with them. The first thing I thought about was finding my very own NES. After a month or so of not finding anything, I gave up. About a week later, my parents came home from garage saling, and asked me to come upstairs, they found an NES, with Contra, and Mario/Duck Hunt for $5. Ever since then, I've been going to almost every possible garage sale I could find. I've been skimping out on garage saling the past couple summers or so, but this year, I'm starting back up.
I've been interested in computers since I've been in my toddler years, and have always wanted my own. On Christmas of 2007, my parents purchased me my first computer, it was a Compaq Presario C700 (a hunk of shit, but I didn't care, I was only eight years old). I used it to play small flash games, or whatever I could really get my hands on. I was always interested in MMO games, such as Pirates Online, Club Penguin, or ToonTown (I was only eight years old, once again). Ever since then, I've always been interested in creating my own games, designing them the way I want, and controlling everything that goes on. As I grew older, my very first laptop ended up burning to a crisp, and it was time for a new one. A months later, I decided it was time for something new. My next machine was a Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7135, which I still own today running Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon. Once I started poking around with the Linux operating system, that's when I finally got started with programming. I began learning C, and making simple "Hello World", and calculator programs.
I ended up writing my own website, and integrating a small chat room where me and a few friends could make a small online community. A guy entered our chat, and we began discussing Linux, and basic programming. He referred me to his friend, which knew much more than he did, and suggested I talk to him. His friend, oddly enough, lives in the town directly next to mine. I told him I was interested in antique video game collecting, and oddly enough, he was an NES programmer too. Now a couple years later, I decided that I wanted to 6502 assembly, and start writing my own NES games. My friend told me about NintendoAge, and here I am now.

It's a great community here
I am twice your age. God I feel old.
For 15 years of age you seem extremely bright. I have a feeling you'll be a fantastic addition to the NA community.
There are quite a lot of programmers here who are knowledgable and very helpful. I'm sure you could learn a lot from them.
By the way, beating the first stage of SMB3 at 3 years old is also an impressive accomplishment.
Enjoy your stay here.
