At My Wits End

Hello all,

I've been a gamer for all my life, starting from the NES and continuing on the present day. However, recently, I got into this thing called collecting, and it's driven me crazy. The last couple of games I want are just really hard to find. The good news, though, is that I think the cure might be somewhere (for sale or trade) in these forums.

I initially collected just Nintendo stuff, but it's expanded to Sega, Sony, and MS stuff. I'm very interested to hear about other people and their gaming interests, as well as get some additional education on some of the less-heard-about systems, like the Turbographix and Sega Master System.

Thanks in advance for making me feel welcome!

  • Welcome to NA brother!
  • Thank ya much! I'm excited to be here. I met a guy at a local game store and he pointed me in this direction.
  • Welcome to the site. You asked for some advice on the Sega Master and Turbo Grafx. I have both and they are great systems. However, I prefer the Turbo Grafx. I was fortunate enough as kid that one of my best friends had a Turbo Grafx and the cd attachment. Therefore, I played it often as well as some of the duo games he had. The system is known for shooters. If you are a fan of them then I highly suggest buying one. Also, if you do end up buying one then I suggest getting your system modified to play pc engine games or buying a converter. A lot of great games on the pc engine especially shooters.
  • I'm already learning stuff! I knew that Working Designs has quite a few games on the Turbographix, which is what initially got me interested, but I didn't realize that there were a lot of good shooters on it. I'll certainly look into it. Thanks for the advice!
