Used to be, Mike Etler's antiquated list perpetually records them as A/A+ I think but since the list was made a literal truckload of them has been found, and now they've been wholesaled off by the hundreds.
Their value now stands at about $65 for a complete set plus shipping.
The price is going back up on them though. I have been watching them for a good bit lately and there haven't been hardly any of them listed at all for like a month and a half. There are a few sets up now but for high prices. Looks like the sellers are getting smart and making the demand surpass the supply for right now making the price rise. If they can set on there stock and slowly release it they can make a bundle to new collectors.
I acutally bought 3 of them from the seller that had a bunch of them about a year ago for a pretty decent price. I have since traded one set off and still have two complete sets.
I agree w/ NGD though, there hasnt been very many listed as of late and the price has crept back up over $100. These were very very rare items prior to the wearhouse of nos being discovered. If that stock does dry up.....these will continue to go up in value. The loaded question is......how much stock is left.
Well there a billion of the actual Deck Enhancers left (well a palette or two, to be specific), but the six other games that didn't come packed in: they're what's going to be harder and harder to find in the coming years.
actually there was a palette or 6. The seller that sold that pallete on ebay told me she had 6-7 more of them just of ADE. Then a few games as well. It just seems she is applying basic economics and raising the prices herself, VERY SMART!!!
I picked one of these up on Ebay a few months ago (with all 6 games) for around $60 shipped (appears to be the Non UK version, good for me, right). I still have not opened it, though I probably will at some point. Is it worth opening and playing? Looks like NES_King thinks it is not worth it from his previous post. Are the games any different that the other non-Alladin deck games? Could someone provide the story as to when/how the extra supply was found? What were they going for before the find? Thanks
It's only worth opening up if you have a major hankerin' to play Dizzy the Adventurer. The other 6 games were released in both ADE and standard gold/silver carts and are pretty much identical. And of those, the only game with a real noticeable difference is Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy which was reworked for the ADE release, fixing some minor annoyances in-game and adding more stars to collect. So bottom line: no point opening it unless you're a Dizzy freak
