any word on the other everdrives to ship out? i assume mine hasn't been sent out yet since there was an ED64 in there...
I have all but 3 orders prepared to ship. I have 5 on my desk that I couldn't find to drop off today. Only the chip & shell service people I need to take care of. They will be delivered by this upcoming this Saturday I believe
Awesome! I picked up a game and have already pulled out the CIC needed, and have the case cleaned and ready to go!
It's more of a pain to get the label off the front of these carts than to pull the cic chip off the board.

Cutting the slot for the sd card is the worse
I just used an inch file and it only took me about 2 minutes to make a perfect fit.

Goo gone works great, or a pressure washer works better!

Yea I'd agree. Cutting the slot can be a pita. I used a dremel personally. Label removal isnt too bad just time consuming. Last time I did some removal of labels I did a ton of em at one time.
Bucket of water, about 15-20 sprays of goof-off (careful, it causes discoloration if sprayed directly on carts, not the case with goo-gone. In a watered down solution though goof-off is fine) and let it soak for a good long while. To help it seep in, I score the lamination a number of times with something sharp, just dont cut too deep.
From there, I had a label remover scraper thing that came with some googone a while back that works great to pick em up. After that, use some finger scraping power with the watery solution to get the rest any remaining glue off.
Oh, and then I just toss em in the dishwasher to rinse em.
So just a quick question about the ED64... after opening the game i bought to salvage, it seemed something has spilled on the game at some point, and got into the game a bit... it wasn't bad on the board, but the metal around the game had a bit of gunk on it, so i just tossed those metal brackets, also since they were for a shorter PCB, i didn't think they'd be needed at all... but are they? will i need them at all to have everything line up right? im sure if worse comes to worse i can just find some small washers to use, but just getting a bit curious.

The pcb will flop around inside the shell without the metal retention brackets. I used them in the Chip+Shell service I provided to a couple of people
Doesn't it suck how terribly snot nosed brats treated n64 games?
In all honesty the n64 is one of my most hated systems.
Well that kinda sucks, oh well, I'll just salvage the metal brackets out of another game until I can get a hold of another cheap game to replace it with.
I assume I'll have to cut the top pieces of that metal bracket right?

Mine came in today too. I wasn't expecting a cart shell for the Everdrive-MD--very cool surprise! This was all definitely worth the wait, and I'm so glad that you offered to do the CIC chips and N64 carts. Everything looks incredible.
Thanks again for this massive undertaking sazyario!

Retrogate made a mistake with your MD V3 and put the shell on it.
I appreciate the time you put in to put this group order together for the everdrives! I'M READY FOR ROUND 2 IF YOU HAVE MORE PEOPLE WANTING TO PURCHASE!!

People are wanting in. I'm waiting for the last of the people to leave me feedback. I don't want to start another group buy until this one is 100%
I'll be adding Game Gear Master System Super Everdrive (depending on availability) Famicom to NES Adapter Everdrive MD V3
I may do Shell service for more than n64 too... I'm debating.
Got my Everdrives today! took the CIC i pulled out of the game i scrapped and soldered it in place, everything working great! Just got to load the SD card up and have fun!
I decided to order some samsung class 6 8gb SD cards for these. the specs on the ED says it can transfer at around 23mb/s, so the class 6 being capable of 24 mb/s is right on par. Smash 64 is the only thing ive tested so far, and it loads really quick.
Need to get the shell slot cut, and ill be able to put this thing into its home, and find it a nice label.
Big thanks to sazyario for putting the group buy together. 10/10 would play again.

Again, 10/10. Got my everdrives yesterday and finally got a chance to pop em in the systems today. They work beautifully! Now if only they had some nice labels... lol. They're getting sent to me tomorrow, so I oughta have em early next week and I'll send them out asap.

Awesome news!
Labels are to be expected to be done printing by the end of the week for those who may have overlooked the label threads updates.
And good look on that portabella! I like the krikzz seal Actually, the gold smearing in the krikzz letters are a good touch!
I am interested in a Everdrive GB. Add me to the wait list please.
I don't have a list going at the moment.
Please stay tuned to this thread when I do start accepting names.
I'm always busy with work and I'm afraid I might miss the next list. Any chance you can put me on a prelist-list I don't want to miss it again!
I'm not starting any type of list yet...
What do you want?

I just bent them up. I don't own metal sheers.
