I have opened a new topic on this as I am interested in only label variants and not the cart variants or the box variants for the Super Nintendo. Over time, I have compiled this list and consider anything a variant even if it is just one extra number (-1) or letter or a different maker. Top Gear 3000 has a bunch of Variants.

There is a Made in Japan and Made in Mexico and I thought there was a Latin Made in Mexico too, but when I was just searching for one I saw this Latin Made in Japan version?

I've been looking at the auctions on eBay to try and track some of this down. It's crazy!

You can add 2 more games for confirmation to the 2nd (short) list:

One to take off is - NCAA Basketball- SNS-DU-CAN - Mine is CIB

Edit 1: I'm checking the carts for all my games so I can update the spreadsheet I posted a few days ago. I'm finding a lot of carts with M/SNS (Made in Mexico) on the labels as my best copies.

I don't think they exist either.

I'm going to list all the games I have with M/USA.

I've got a couple variations not on the first list.

A pretty big one I have with a M?USA is Chronotrigger. I noticed the box wasn't glossy when I first opened the package from the mail many years ago. Now I know why. lol

I seem to recall seeing the Majesco games you want confirmed with B/W instructions but not with Majesco Sales usually noted somewhere. Hmmm?

There are Latin Made in Mexico versions of these:

Capcom's Soccer Shootout

Power Instinct

A seller from Chile had a bunch of sealed copies on here and on Ebay, so there are quite a few floating around. I know CompleteSNES sent in a case of Soccer Shootout to VGA and they are all graded with no mention of it being a Latin version

That's a lot to go through. Some are variants. Some I have listed. I did find 3 different copies of Aaahh Real Monsters. I added it as well as Super Goal 2. I could not find Power Instinct or Soccer Shootout.

I just saw, in another thread, your Canadian variants. I was just curious about the Zelda. What is the code? I have a copy of the Zelda -CAN-1 but it is different because it has french on it. Your manual says CAN-1 so I'm wondering if there are 2 Zelda CAN-1, one french and one english? I just couldn't see the cart label in the pic.

Edit 1: I'm checking the carts for all my games so I can update the spreadsheet I posted a few days ago. I'm finding a lot of carts with M/SNS (Made in Mexico) on the labels as my best copies.

I just saw, in another thread, your Canadian variants. I was just curious about the Zelda. What is the code? I have a copy of the Zelda -CAN-1 but it is different because it has french on it. Your manual says CAN-1 so I'm wondering if there are 2 Zelda CAN-1, one french and one english? I just couldn't see the cart label in the pic.

Zelda Cart label has:

SNS-ZL-CAN

MADE IN JAPAN

I'm soooo glad to finally have a place to verify my set. I was too busy concentrating on cataloguing the SN's of the paperwork by myself and didn't pay attention to the carts, boxes and manuals. As long as it wasn't a Majesco or Players Choice I stopped looking. Also assumed the SN's matched the list(s) I found on a couple sites a long time ago. Thanks

Ok, here's my coding for SNES cart variants. MIJ=Made in Japan MIM=Made in Mexico AIM=Assembled in Mexico (Majesco). B=Boxed (old fat original cart design with the boxed in hole). S=Slant (newer and more common cart design). NFR=Not for Resale.

So MIJB = Made in Japan Boxed. AIMS = Assembled in Mexico Slant. -2MIMS = Made in Mexico Slant with a -2 code on the front label.

These are all front labels only. I don't count the backs since they can be easily swapped.

Here's one of those Latin Soccer Shootouts from Chile in the 4th picture, that VGA graded without mentioning that it was Latin or Made in Mexico on the VGA label:

Is it possible to get some quality scans of as many of the carts (along with boxes, & manuals if possible)(hopefully showing the ID's) so the images can be uploaded into the NA Data base?

I have several of the carts as I collect mainly cart only but that would take forever to do each one individually.

Yes, that's correct. The company logo is different (even though it still says copyright Extreme on the -1 label). I'll go back and document the differences in the labels when I get a chance. Most of them are differences in ESRB ratings since KA changed into E.

I've combined both lists from a couple weeks ago and tried to confirm everything and have found a few things on the list(s) that might be errors. Going over these revised list(s) once again to double check my work.

I saw an auction for a complete game that had a Canadian box that wasn't noted before.
