Large Apple II Lot

Hey guys, I picked up all this stuff at a flea market and wanted to know how much its all worth. It has a bunch of stuff in it including:

Kids & The Apple II Book

I Speak Basic to My Apple Book

Apple II User's Guide

Art and Graphics on the Apple II / IIe

Flight Simulator II (Complete in box, box has some wear)

Planner's Choice Book

Filer's Choice Book

Mastertype's Writer Book

A blue box that has some (what I presume to be blank) foppy's in it

L.A. Land Monopoly Game (CIB)

Conglomerates Collide (CIB)

Optionx (CIB)

Secureguard (CIB)

Con*Putation (CIB)

Dinner on a Disk (Disk, disk sleeve, and manual, no box)

Guardian (Disk, disk sleeve, and manual, no box)

Multi-Disk Catalog III (Disk, disk sleeve, and manual, no box)

Max-Command (Disk, disk sleeve, and manual, no box)

Just wondering how much its all worth or what I should price it for in FS?

  • The utility or personal finance or printing software is usually junk.

The rest you have to search title at a time on ebay etc. Apple has been on the upswing the past few years with some surprises.
  • Anything you can't find on ebay's completed, make sure you sell at open auction instead of using a Buy It Now. Could be nothing, but it could be some rarity that hardly ever pops up.
  • It has no value to me and I wouldn't buy this stuff, maybe someone else will. Why don't you just throw it up for auction on E-bay and let the game work its course. That is how I usually find out how much they are worth to someone if there are no completed listings for it.

All of the games are published by Softsmith, and I cant find any of them on any list of Apple II games... What does that mean?

If you searched everywhere and can't find anything then it means one of three things.

    1.  Ultra rare super valuable.

    2.  They are not games but disk utilities and no one cares.

    3.  You didn't search very good.

  • Old computer stuff is really unpredictable. There was no licensing scheme like for consoles, so tons of different companies made tons of third party software. Even on the Apple II, most of it is worthless, but a few will stand out. Based on the names, there are only about four games there. I'd search hard for those titles and unless there's something amazing just sell the whole lot at once.
