(Not sure if NEW) Donkey Kong 64 Banana Controller

So I picked up this controller at a local game store that gets a ton of items in all the time. I'm happy to own it because a Nintendo Power exclusive and I've never seen one. I got home,  looked a little bit closer and the cord looks really similar to my Black boxed 64 controller (which is brand new.) Now, this DK64 Banana controller has almost no wear. It's pretty minty. Do you guys think this DK64 controller is brand new? I'm not a boy scout or anything so I don't know how hard to is to wrap cords as pictured. I didn't buy it exactly as pictured, it came in like a hanging accessory bag that the store uses. Attached are pictures of both my Black 64 controller and the DK64 controller. Thanks!

    Id probably say its not new cause the way the twisty is bent and kinda twisted around itself. Every new N64 con ive seen the twist is flat and perfect. Just becuase the twisty was removed doesnt mean it was ever used. You've probably got one of the nicest ones still floating out there in your possession though. Great pickup.

    there should be a plastic baggie around it too, not new but very mint

    I didn't even notice the twist tie! On the black one it's lined up perfectly. It's missing plastic too apparently. Damn, thanks for all the feedback.
