Box Design for Zelda Outlands
Hey guys! I was hoping someone may share my interest in a box design that is in line with the original series of boxes without copying one of the original two. I think instead of having the sword or shield in the background, maybe a large heart, and the cutout could be part of that. I suck at graphic design and all that so thought maybe someone who shared interest and had the skills might be willing to do the design.

Well I kept thinking about what I would really want for a box, and decided to give Gimp a shot to come up with something that I think would fit in the original collection without outright copying either one. This is what I came up with. The key itself is a problem and doesn't fit at all, but I haven't been able to find something that really fits. I threw it in there to give an idea of the overall design. What do you think??
I liked your artwork, so I converted it to label format, for anyone interested

Sweet, thanks! I'm still not sold on the key though... I feel like it needs to be a drawing or a key, not a rendering. And I wish I could find a font closer to the original for the "The Legend of Zelda" part.
I think that's pretty close. Better than my original design I made when the Outlands was first released. Also I think it looks like the old one, but with a twist. Just like the game

Thats the fond the "Zelda" part of the logo. Good close match though you found!
The "The Legend Of" I believe to be hand written. If you look at the "e", they are all different shapes. I like the choice you picked out for that part, but if you want it to be more OEM, try something with a more handwritten look.
Oh, also a tip, when downsizing the logo for the label top end, It looks like you used a "nearest neighbor" style sampling. Try something that says bicubic. It'll look less gritty around the edges.
