PS Vita buttons feel weird

It's kind of hard to explain, but two of the buttons on my PS Vita don't push as much as the other two. The two good ones have the normal amount of give/click, but the other two face buttons (X and Square I believe it was...) feel like the pad is wadded up under it or it has worn out or something weird. They don't push very far, and they don't really "click". One side of each is also a little better/closer to normal than the other.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong? (or what I am trying to say for that matter...)

Yes, it just feels really odd, and is hard to play games that require fast inputs becaue the buttons don't really spring back up or feel like the others.
  • Mine felt a bit stiff when I first got my Vita, in fact I think they squeaked a bit too. Went away after a bit of use.
  • Have you tried taking it apart to see what's going on under the buttons?

No. To put it mildly, my track record for getting things back together... isn't great

    lol

  • Guessing this was bought used, there could be some grime build up but if that was the case seems you would notice it on the other buttons. I wouldn't take it apart if your uncomfortable doing so either blast around them with compressed air or if your able trade it in for another. There is a chance if the unit is fairly new the buttons haven't loosened up meaning the previous owner may not had played it often.

Not used, I'm original owner. I just haven't used it in quite a while.
