NES, SNES, unaligned labels from factory, did it happen?
Hi
I'm no expert on games.
I've seen several NES and SNES games that, looking carefully, their labels are not aligned correctly to the cart borders.
Is this necessarely a sign of a repro label or original labels actually did come up like this from factory?

Misaligned labels are normal, as a collector you would prefer a perfectly aligned label but this generally goes unnoticed unless the label is horribly misaligned like this one, and even then it doesn't matter that much: http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=122143

Wazzup Lol!, yup, I see you're from Mty, I'm from Reynosa, cool.
Yeah, I'm kind of paranoid about paying games with repro labels as if it were originals, but if is original I don't mind much a little bit of missaligned labels if the price is right.

Nice! I had family living in Reynosa but now basically eveyone relocated to McAllen, I spent countless christmases and summers over there in my grandparent's house, I have a lot of fond gaming memories there playing with my brother & my cousins (we always brought our NES/SNES with us). Do you by any chance remember a place where they rented NES and SNES games that was on a street called Panamá in Col. Altamira? I used to go there all the time while in town!
Sorry about the slight thread derail
Back on topic label misalignment would not be a sign of a repro, and yeah if it bothers you as a collector just take it into account on what you're willing to pay. I personally don't bother to check honestly, as long as it doesn't stand out I'm ok.

I've seen upside-down labels that are legitimate factory mistakes on NES carts.
There's a good information on NA here:
