  • A $60 profit, minus eBay & PayPal fees plus shipping...

So you made maybe $40 by being a scalper.

    Cool bro
  • holy snap, crackle, and pop!!! 900 views and 32 watchers in less than 24 hours! wow thats really really good. good job!
  • Scalper? Not really.  I don't think so.  The package was practically brand new, besides being opened and played for literally 5 minutes. Its completely fair though, the value of the item did not diminish when I placed it on auction -at the retail price- and people didn't have to bid, but they did.  The demand was just there.  I placed the auction on 24 hours for exactly that reason, in my mind, "Well, I think can at least get my $100 back, because I can't return it to Gamestop after opening it."  Eh... Its a one time thing though for me. I used to love Smash Bros. and for the last month I was considering getting it for myself, and I ended up making a compulsive purchase at Gamestop. I took it home and played it and... it just didn't affect me like Smash Bros. 64, Melee, and Brawl did. I'm not a big fan of the whole gameboard thing and the online for me at least was real jittery and that is an understatement. On the day I bought Smash Bros. I also bought Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, but that game was absolute garbage. I literally got a migraine playing it because of the "extremely cheesy" dialogue. "Bouncy Bouncy!" and "Its time for a Spin Dash!" and quite a few other lines actually (during gameplay).  So... rather than having to deal with Gamestop, I placed a BIN on Ebay for $40...  I paid $50 New on it, that was another compulsive buy...  So I lost about $13 after taxes on that game.  That sold within 24 hours.

This reminds me of when I placed my Hyper Dimention Neptunia 1 and 2 box sets on auction for $50 each.  This was all just the packaging because at the time I was planning on keeping the disc games... So both of those auctions went to $110 and $80 respectively.  I also sold separately the Hyper Dimention Neputunia playing cards, auctioned that at $50 and I was suprised, that by itself went up to $90.  I'm actually struggling to find a game on the Wii U that I will play and enjoy... I've been through Zelda HD Wind Waker, New Super Mario Bros Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and now Smash Bros. Wii U...  I think what I'm really waiting for is Zelda and Metroid and maybe the next real Mario game 'Super Mario Galaxy 3'...  Other than Zelda and Metroid.   I think whats happening as I get older is I'm unconsciously picking a few games that I loved and sticking with them, so I'm slower to get into newer stuff.  I did buy Hyrule Warriors (because I love Dynasty Warriors - I used to have all those games) and I'm loving it so far.  I'm actually left with $128 after shipping and ebay fees, so I paid $107 at Gamestop. so I'm about $21+...  I'm happy I made my money back.  Compulsive buys are dangerous.  -_-; ....  I  really thought I was going to enjoy Smash, but it seems not... :/  Its probably just where I am in my life.
