Now we know what happens when you get over 10 million in NWC

Behold:

Yes, I used a Game Genie, and yes, you have to do it on a real NWC cart, but aren't you glad you know now? The score flips. I've always wondered this, but no more!

You have to get to about level 23 or 24 in Tetris. I propose a new contest...using the all long blocks code, who can get this highest score? Please post whether you used a real cart or a repro, since you can't set the timers to max on a repro.

Come to think of it, I didn't even skip to Rad Racer, but this is allowed for this thread.

  • isnt that only 1.8 million?
  • He says the score flips in his post, so I guess that would explain the discrepancy.

EDIT: actually, I just did the math on his Tetris score with a calculator and it looks like the game just leaves off the first (left-most) digit. So instead of showing the 11.8 million that he actually scored (472,172 x 25) it shows 1.8 million.

Moral of the story: just tack a 1 to the front of any score that breaks 10 mil.
  • haha, oh i see, i guess i should have actually read the post, and not just look at the numbers lol. Thats pretty cool

Yeah, adding a 1, score flip, same thing. The cool thing is, we know what happens now when you flip one of the games' scores (in this case, Tetris) on the final screen AND the total final score.

Ahhh...it's good to make history, lol.
